The thing with 6k is it scales nicely at 2:1, that’s why Apple use that resolution for their XDR pro.

That’s good to know. I already have external 3 pin sockets and only need to charge every few weeks. I’ll see how I get on with it before committing £1K for a proper charging point.

I was originally planning to do this but after reading a bit I’m concerned about the risks of pulling that much power from a 3-pin socket. Especially overnight

I ended up buying from them, great service and pricing. Local guy then fits it for me, a lot cheaper than going to the big shops and I’ve been really pleased with the results.

I directly rip my blurays and UHD to my Synology, no compression beyond whatever is on the disc. I found that a 100Mbps NIC is not quite enough for UHD, stream is just over.

I seem to remember Oppo being the DVD/Bluray player to go for. I can’t imagine you’d notice much of an increase in quality though. Personally I’d stick with the PS3 and get a remote.

I recently bought a Loaf sofa, at a big discount, from this place. Very happy with it. Seemed there was a lot of low quality furniture out there so I was happy to pick up a more premium brand at a much lower cost.
