    Show Us Your Motors!

Yup. I purposefully shied away from silver when I ordered mine. Silver cars always strike me as really bland, they never look dirty, but also aren't that satisfying after a good clean either. And I also wanted something with some colour after only ever owning quite monochrome colours previously...

Same. If not silver, then perhaps a light grey or shadow chrome. All would still be a step up over black, I think. It's annoying having to use tyre dressings again.

I just took a punt, googled "enkei Nt03rr gr86" and Enkei have picture on their website showing the wheel on a GR86: https://www.enkei.co.jp/product/wheels/ForGR86BRZCup/NT03RRForGR86BRZCup/ The car is white, but it gives you an idea, or maybe just squint a bit and think really silver thoughts.

Not entirely sure what this little roadster that I was following this morning was, but it was nice to see. Image a bit crap though. Looked up it's MOT, it's registered as a "Hawk Sport", which appears to be a Cobra clone of some sort after a quick Google...

I'd like to have a go at this, but I don't think I'm brave enough.

I'm one of the boring ones who preferred it before as well. I often thought it was the best looking car in this thread. It's by no means bad now, still well exectued, just not to my taste. But you know what...now I look at it, I think I realise why, and it's not the big wing, nor the chunky...

Ordered in April '22, picked it up in December '22, so 16 months or so now.

    Spec me a fun 2+2

Yup, that's what I love about it. You feel like you get more opportunity to really experience the full breadth of the car's capability on the road. Funnily enough, another car on your list really interested me too - the BMW M2. Same kind of formula, small coupé with a manual gearbox...

    Spec me a fun 2+2

I'll chime in with my experience if I may: - The old model felt slow not so much because of it's low peak output, but because if had a bloody awful torque curve with a huge hole in the middle. The new one has a higher output, but more importantly, it's flattened that curve, meaning it feels much...

I might be wrong, I thought the shorter exhaust tips were exclusively a US thing, but maybe it applies in Europe too. Either way, nasty a nasty whack. Hopefully he gets it repaired and learns his lesson though. At least there's no body damage.

I'm guessing that's a US car. They have exhaust tips that don't protrude from the rear diffuser trim for some legislative reason. And those wheels are the 17" diamond cut ones which come with the lower trim level. Here in the UK we only had one trim level choice and it came with 18" black wheels.

No, definitely not. That would have been pretty good fun (40km/h limit notwithstanding of course).

No pictures, but I'm on my hols in South Africa at the moment and saw a brand new Porsche 911 the other day. Wouldn't usually be noteworthy except it was being driven through Kruger National Park. Not exactly an ideal safari vehicle, especially if they stray off the tarmacked roads...

    *** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

Answering my own question, but washed the car today and can confirm... Gtechniq W9 seems to have worked well getting rid of the water spots, and unclogging the ceramic coat. Still a few visible, so I might go over the whole car again at the next wash, but it's got rid of the most obvious ones on...

    *** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

Last year, I plashed out on a Metrovac AirDuster for my PC, as I was tired of buying the disposable cans of air. It's incredibly powerful, and I'm thinking about pressing it into service for drying the car. It might not be ideal for such a large surface area, but it would be great to blast the...

    Masters of the Air 2023

I don't think the criticism is so much about not mentioning the contributions of the RAF; as you say, this is a story about the experience of an American bomber group, so I really don't mind that Brits aren't mentioned much. This is their story. But it does seem that nearly every British...
