Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

We had all this in Portsmouth once - when it was leaked that a company in the city was the national distribution centre for ALL shell suits manufactured.

Absolutely - I'm going to let a couple of days go by and then make an approach. Email and Texts. Hopefully it won't be needed.

ex-mate demanding money with menaces - Help!

...and with that the OP knew he'd had the cream of the advice he was going to get on the issue that night and that the serious part of the thread was probably over now... However, he found he had cheered up considerably - which was nice.

That's always been a running theme - trying to get him to see the link between the two - we have tried - believe me we've tried until we're blue in the face.

ex-mate demanding money with menaces - Help!

Thanks for all the advice, guys. It's a hideous situation to find oneself in but a little humour here and there has a calming effect on what otherwise would be too hideous. I know I've got the police route if it comes to it - and I sincerely hope it needn't do - and I've got the "Well, we...

ex-mate demanding money with menaces - Help!

The money was a gift and he made a point of stressing that at the time - I remember telling him that I had no idea when or even if I would be able to give him anything in return. The point is I will - as soon as I can - but in the mean time his reason has become rather fragile and he's now just...

ex-mate demanding money with menaces - Help!

So, where to begin. Sorry for this. My old mate of 20 years or so and I have had a bust up recently over various things - politics/ lifestyle/ attitudes to life - it was kind of coming for a while but came to a head a week ago and many, many nasty things said, etc. The point is that a...

Does anyone know the correct procedure to amend an entry in my medical records? I'm applying for a job that will involve a health check and my records contain compromising information about a health problem I had a few years ago. Just the facts please guys, on how to go about it. Keep...

Hey D.P. I have to say a big slobbery Thank You for all your advice today. Expert...On The Case...Factual...etc, Going to go D300 with the original lens suggestion of 18-105. Yes, I know I've blown my budget but...Nikon, Nuff said. Many Thanks indeed.

Please advise which Nikon DSLR for £400

Thanks for all the info D.P. The D300 looks pretty good and more what I'm used to, e.g; metal construction, easier Manual settings, seems to be more image focused with less fancy bits. What do you think?

Please advise which Nikon DSLR for £400

Thanks again D.P. would probably go for the 18-105 VR then. Tell me, this VR, I would assume it would have an impact on photo quality? If that be the case can one toggle it Off/On if one is shooting from a tripod for instance?

Please advise which Nikon DSLR for £400

All good advice. Thank you. I'm now thinking of upping my budget to accommodate the purchase of a D 90. Would you be kind enough to suggest a good DX lens that specs to approx my old 28-80 - given this image size cropping business. Many Thanks, fanger

Please advise which Nikon DSLR for £400

edit: Just had a look at the old lens. It isn't Series-E it's a Nikkor AF 28-80. It must be all of 10 years old but in excellent condition. Works with my old F-601 anyway. Does this change my options. Hope so. Thanks robertgilbert86 for drawing my attention to this blunder in my...

Please advise which Nikon DSLR for £400

Hi Chaps, I wondered if you would be so kind as to advise which Nikon DSLR you would buy if you had £400 or so to throw at it? I have a few E-series lenses I'm keen to be able to use but not too bothered if you have suggestions which negate this. Tremendous Thanks in advance. Second...
