    Is a 22" wide panel 'taller' than a 19" 4:3 panel?

Ah, sorry, I hadn't made it clear: I mean the size of the visible panel, the actual screen itself, not including the surround. Hence taking to the forum, I couldn't find it on the Dell site tech specs.

    Is a 22" wide panel 'taller' than a 19" 4:3 panel?

Maths suggests that a 16:10 ratio and a 22" diagonal, it should be 47cm wide and 30cm high. Interested to know if that is the case in actuality.

    Is a 22" wide panel 'taller' than a 19" 4:3 panel?

Hi all, I am on the verge of ordering a Dell E228WFP from OcUK and I was wondering what the actual size of the screen is. I currently have a 19" LG1980U and I don't really want to get a screen which will be smaller vertically than that, ie I'd like to have the same screen size, but 'add' the...

12V rail giving only 0.6V - replaced PSU, so what is wrong?

I purchased a new motherboard (Asus P5KC) to eliminate it as a possibility. The voltages now appear correct, so I suspect that the Gigabyte was not reading it correctly. However the error is still happening. I have now replaced the PSU and the mobo, so the problem must be with the RAM or...

12V rail giving only 0.6V - replaced PSU, so what is wrong?

I have taken the entire system out of the case and set it up. This makes no difference to the symptoms / crashes. So it's not a shorting on the case issue.

12V rail giving only 0.6V - replaced PSU, so what is wrong?

Unfortunately it is very unstable - I am getting BSODs as detailed in my older thread. At first glance it appears to be a video driver problem, but I want to understand the strange power readings first as I suspect they may be the root problem. Edit: having said that, I am on the verge of...

12V rail giving only 0.6V - replaced PSU, so what is wrong?

Indeed a good idea, however unfortunately the my Gigabyte BIOS (I have tried the F2 version it shipped with, and I have flashed to the latest F4 too) only shows a green 'OK' next to the voltages, which is pretty unhelpful, hence why I have had to resort to taking software readings.

12V rail giving only 0.6V - replaced PSU, so what is wrong?

Hi, I'm afraid that my old thread was maybe too general and didn't get much attention as a result, so I want to ask one specific question from it. Reference: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=10115316 I have taken readings with both CPU-Z and SpeedFan of the voltages...

Driver stopped responding / BSOD crashes

I got a new replacement PSU. It hasn't changed a thing, I still crash to that BSOD very quickly when running BioShock. I'm totally gutted, I feel like I've spent £1000+ on a pile of junk. Voltages are still not reading as 12V on the 12V line. What regulates the voltage? Is it something to do...

Driver stopped responding / BSOD crashes

I borrowed a 7950 GTO 512Mb from a friend. Replacing my 8800GTX with this has stabilised my system. No sign of crashes at all, been playing in Source engine for about 4 hours now. The 7950GTO only requires one power connector, unlike the 8800TGX which takes two. So, either I have a bad...

    @ cooljimy84: The memory timings are quite loose already I believe (5 3 3 15). Here are my voltages per CPU-Z: Voltage sensor 0 1.12 Volts [0x46] (CPU VCORE) Voltage sensor 1 2.08 Volts [0x82] (VIN1) Voltage sensor 2 3.34 Volts [0xD1] (+3.3V) Voltage sensor 3 4.92 Volts [0xB7] (+5V) Voltage...

At 2.0V I ran Memtest86+ for 1hr50m: Test 8 (the one that was giving errors) ten times Full tests 1-8 twice through No errors! Time for some game testing. I'd still be interested in some info on the voltages I am reading on the 12V lines though...

Driver stopped responding / BSOD crashes

I have increased my RAM voltage to 2.0 from 1.8, will report back on whether this makes a difference on Memtest86+ and actual game stability. I would however really like to know about those 12V values I am seeing. Anyone know about that?

    Gigabyte DS3/DS4/DQ6 Guide

Yes, I did confuse it. I have now downloaded the F4 for the P35C-DS3R. It is a self-extracting archive that gives the following files: autoexec.bat flash895.exe p35cds3r.f4 Running the BAT or the EXE gives an error "the version of this file is not compatible with this version of windows". If...

    Gigabyte DS3/DS4/DQ6 Guide

I've downloaded the F6 BIOS from Gigabyte's site for my P35C-DS3R, but the executable is not compatible with 64-bit Windows. I can't see any mention of flashing under 64-bit Windows on Gigabytes site. Anyone have a solution?

Driver stopped responding / BSOD crashes

    I have the following results in SpeedFan, could anyone interpret them? Is Vcore2 my RAM voltage? Vcore1: 1.12V Vcore2: 1.84V +3.3V: 3.34V +5V: 4.92V +12V: 0.51V -12V: -16.97V -5V: -6.46V +5V: 5.03V Vbat: 3.26V Um, the 12V ones look very odd (in that they are not ~12V). The 12V line powers the...
