*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

I would strongly recommend you do not buy the Apple case! One of the worst things is lack of a mechanism for keeping it closed, so it is free to open in your bag and let things scratch the screen. I took mine straight back and got an 'Incase Convertible Book Jacket' which is much better in...

*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

It's not easy buying one here in the US at the moment. I have been trying to get another one, but all 4 stores I tried were out of stock with no idea when they will get anymore or how many!

*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

The charger is 110-240v input so an adapter is fine, the only actuall difference between UK and US spec is the plug bit that locks to the transformer. When I get back to the UK I will be using my iPhone plug bit on the iPad transformer, as I don't use the iPhone charger. The iPad transformer...

*** The all new Apple iPad thread - Keep all iPad stuff in here ***

I had to make a US iTunes account to download the apps from the US store, however you need a bank card with a US address to buy them. Not tried anything on iTunes just the iPad AppStore.

    An iPad Thread.

I'm lucky enough to be on holiday in Florida at the moment so I spent 2 hours outside an apple store this morning.... Now I'm sat in the hotel lobby on a sofa typing this post, a perfect task for the iPad. Unfortunately the camera connection kit isn't out yet, which is the other perfect...

Can I clock my 1333 ram to 1600?

I dont think the problem is your RAM wont overclock... With my 920/UD5 @ stock settings (apart from RAM), I can run my 1600mhz RAM @ 1600mhz. With the CPU overclocked I cant run my 1600mhz RAM @ 1600mhz. However I cant find any info on this problem. I have tried loads of different things.

PSU for 2 x GTX 295 (Quad SLI)

Measured with a plugin power meter. As it happens that calculator site is only 5w off for me. Dont forget im talking 100% load. The only thing to do that to the CPU is prime etc, and the only thing to do that to the GPU's is furmark.

How are you people comming to the conclusion of what his rig will draw  Have a look at post 2, my answer is based on FACT... I will pick on you Linx, how do you know his system wont use more than 700w? Mine uses less than his will and mine uses 861w! This is not guessed...

    BFG RMA question

I bought a brand new GTX280, it was artifacting so I RMA'd it, then got sent a card that overheated, sent that back and got another card that overheated this time with a poorly fitted case. Personally I think they just send back out cards that others send in! Thats 3 duff cards with an ever...

Why SO Many PSU's? Suggestions welcome...

I had a Corsair HX620 - no problems for two years and still going. Then I upgraded and tried a BQ 1200, which was faulty and RMA'd, then the replacement was faulty and RMA'd.... Then I bought a Corsair HX1000 - no problems so far. That sums up my experience of Corsair and Be Quiet.

Im getting really fed up of the BFG GTX280 and/or the BFG RMA service

Thats the risk, I dont want to buy a new cooler and then find its not the problem as I will have lost the warrenty. Running one card: Card A = Furmark 84c, GTA4 76c Card B = Furmark 106c, GTA4 89c Intrestingly SLI: Card A (the top card in SLI) = Furmark 88c, GTA4 86c Card B (the...

Im getting really fed up of the BFG GTX280 and/or the BFG RMA service

Antec 1200 so 3x120mm intake, amd 2x120mm + 1x200mm exhaust. Oh and the internal fan holder positioned in the middle with another 120mm blowing over the graphics cards... Cooling is NOT the issue, my other GTX280 gets to 84c in furmark in exactly the same place in exactly the same case. This...

Im getting really fed up of the BFG GTX280 and/or the BFG RMA service

2 cards overheating, 1 card aftifacting Whatever im doing/not doing does not have any affect on my other card... I just cant understand why they seem to not be tested before being sent out. Or do a lot of people not monitor their temps / use furmark and so not notice the card overheating?

Im getting really fed up of the BFG GTX280 and/or the BFG RMA service

I bought a brand new BFG GTX280 OC, straight away it produced artifacts so I RMA'd it. The replacement got all the way up to 105c in furmark, so I RMA'd it. At this point I was very annoyed that it was costing me money to post the faulty cards back, £8.25 a time, so I talked to BFG about...
