Have you ever heard of an unmarked police car not pulling someone over, but them getting fined anyway?

If it even was a police car, there's a very good chance that they weren't too fussed about you doing 50 in a 40 and had other things to do. If you're going to pull over every car that's doing 50 in a 40mph when you're in an unmarked car you're pretty much not going to get anything else done in...

What have you done to your car today?

Owners of R56 Mini's should know better than anyone that you *never* celebrate your car's reliability :p

Could just get this one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266709687352? How much tread is your other side on?

What sort of tread depth do you have left on the one on the other side? I'd be inclined to find one on eBay with matching tread so you're not in the situation of having a brand new tyre on one side, and a half worn one on the other. Also, you sure that's a Pilot Sport 3 and not a PS4?

    Rear Camber Adjustment Bolts?

I'm fairly sure they're going to have bent the tabs on the subframe when trying to get the bolt out. On one of your original pictures I can see what appears to be fresh metal exposed on both of the tabs so reckon they will have forced it and bent the tabs then just denied it was them and fobbed...

    Knocking noise (already!?)

Assuming this is a 3rd party warranty, I'll save you the time of waiting for the warranty company to reply: "This part is not covered as it has been deemed that it has failed due to wear and tear and is not a sudden failure" Now, to get a new shock and top mount shouldn't be anything like...

    Rear Camber Adjustment Bolts?

They're eccentric bolts, sometimes cammed bolts to create the lateral movement needed to adjust the camber and push the wheel out or pull it in. The issue you get with them is that they can become seized, then if a garage tries to force the bolt against the little tabs on the subframe that the...

Are All Used Cars A Horror Bag Money Pit ?

Anyway, in answer to your question - no used car's aren't a money pit, unless you get one which is :p Me personally, I'm only ever buying via private sales in the future, or from main dealers. Getting a car from a small trader these days is asking for trouble for the following reasons: A) They...

    Audi TT MK1 225

I think you should definitely get it! That's a proper high mileage hero. I had one and the big issues to look out for are: 1) Dashboard cluster display - the pixels stop working. Its about £200 to send it off to a company to replace the LCD. 2) Rust in all the usual parts you'd expect on a 300k...

Neighbour from a few doors up parks their car outside my house

To be fair, if he asked politely and acknowledged to him that the other guy is completely within his rights to say no, the what's the harm? I can't get this mentality of digging in your heels just because someone has asked you if you'd mind helping them out with something that's been frustrating...

I was going to say, the age could be the other factor. In older tyres the rubber will generally be harder so give more positive steering, but worse general grip? Have you done many miles on the PS4S? I've had the Assymmetric 5's and PS4S on various car's and have always found the GY's to be very...

Car at bodyshop, workers decided to take for jolly up

Oh comeon, don't give up that easily. This won't be the first time these ****ers have done this sort of thing, but it might be the first time anyone has any evidence against them. I'd definitely be making a report for the vehicle being taken without consent - this would fall within this...

    **Unofficial Tyre Thread**

I will say that this often happens when you replace a tyre that has 2-3mm with one that has 7-8mm. The extra tread just makes it more spongey and the sudden change makes it very noticeable. The only thing I can suggest is upping the pressures by ~2psi for a few months. As soon as they start...

I've also done this where I've needed to. Normally get them from eBay. Get the exact tyre brand and model, and even near enough the same manufacturer date with roughly the same tread. There's nothing wrong with part worns, when done in the right way, and if you thoroughly inspect them to ensure...

Advice on issue with used car

Classic. What warranty company is it? What was their reason for rejection? Why in the world ANYONE still buys or believes these 3rd party warranties are worth anything at all is beyond me as what you have experienced is literally the standard play for pretty much every claim on these warranties
