My Bad, First of all my CPU is a Silver Sample. In my Motherboard BIOS, I had the PBO Limit setting set to 'ENABLED', i found out that this setting tells the motherboard to provide the CPU with as much current as it could, which explains why my CPU temperatures were slightly on the high side...

Thanks for the response, I am asking about the side of the thermal pad that makes contact with the m.2 ssd. Incase I need to swap the SSD out. I do not want to remove the thermal pad from the heat sink.

The Samsung 860 QVO drive will be just fine for a gaming drive. Game drives are mainly just read from and very little data writing happens. So don't worry about the drive degrading.
