Just wondering how people are getting on with this memory. Finally got my build together and starting to play around with it. Currently testing it at 3800 16-16-16-36 with my 5800x and seems fine so far. Not sure if I should try pushing for 2000 fclk to see if that's possible or just try...
I’m starting to get the parts together for a new build and thought I would take a punt on this. 4x 8Gb sticks have just arrived. It’s looking like it will be a while until I actually manage to get all the parts to actually build a pc though! Last build has The Ballistix Micron E at 3600 C16 so...
I scratched the itch too. Upgraded the 2500k at last. Went for X570 Aorus Elite and 3700X. That then triggered an upgrade of the RX580 to a 5700xt. That triggered a monitor upgrade from my old 24" to a new 27" 1440p 144Hz. This is exactly why I held off upgradding in the first place. It always...
I just accidentally received another 2 x 8GB of this memory. I ordered some in July when it was on offer but out of stock and forgot to cancel the order. Trying to decide whether to keep it or send it back. Can't see me getting 3733 C16 on 4 sticks so I'd probably have to drop the speed to run...
Just stuck an EK waterblock on my 5700XT. Slight improvement in temperatures. Running a few bemchmarks and max temp on GPU was 44C with max junction of 69.
Never really overclocked memory before so not really 100% on what I'm supposed to be doing!
Here is where I'm at so far. Stable through a couple of passes of memtest.
Any pointers on where I could improve things? Really not sure which timings are worth tweaking.
Sounds like you are having similar issues to mine on the same motherboard. I was having a load of memory errors at stock on my Corsair 3200 kit. I had originally set XMP and manually set memory voltage to 1.35 as per spec. This just didn't work. Ended up using the same beta bios you have and...
Mine just arrived this morning and so far a big improvement on the Corsair Vengeance which was a struggle to get stable at its rated speed. Have been playing around and have booted at 3200 fast DRAM calculator settings and now on 3600 safe settings. Using aida memory stress test for a quick...
Just ordered some. Now hiding emails as they arrive to prevent a divorce. Hopefully the rainforest will take the other set back due to the number of errors they generated with stock xmp settings.
Would that be BLS2K8G4D32AESBK?
Might just grab a set and try it out. Not really sure if there's much of a performance difference but having done a bit more reading getting to 3600 for the 1800 IF clock might be worth it.
Have it running at 3200 16-18-18-18-36 using F4L bios (newest beta). Ran 2 full passes of memtest with no errors. Not the tightest timings in the world but actually the spec of the memory so can't really complain. Was really hoping to hit 3600 on the cheap but not a chance with this kit despite...
Think I have it working after some playing about. Set everything to optimized defaults again and didn't bother with XMP at all. Set voltage and primary timings manually. Ran through memtest a few times with no errors.
Just out of interest I knocked the memory speed up one notch at the same...
Hi all. Looking for a bit pf advice if possible
Just put together my new system and I'm having a few teething issues.
Spec is Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite, 3700x watercooled, 5700XT and memory is Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 2x8GB CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. Build all went together nicely apart from a bug...
