    Mountain Biking

When I went in 2014 we stayed in Apartment Creve Coeur in Morzine just up the hill. Big group splitting it made it relatively cheap.

    Power/Weight Thread

I can only dream of 4w/kg right now Started zwift but struggling to get on it after my night shifts. Ramp test suggests 260w or so at 81kg(on a good day). I'll follow the plan and see where I end up for the summer.

    Career change.. HGV driver?

I've moved into class 1 work now after passing in mid October. Hard to get work as a new pass so had to take what I could get. Early starts are a bit hard to get used to but I'm working 4 x 12 hours Sunday to Wednesday and earning the same or more then 5 days in my previous job with no...

    New TV time.

I wanted to find a place to take a look at the TCL C845K but nobody stocks them. Popped by currys whilst at pets at home and the sales guy was **** talking TCL and spending £900 on a Hisense. He directed me towards a QE55Q80C for £750 and the QE55QN95C for £1399 with free sound bar.

Not seeing any crazy price drops on the C845K only down to £799 best I can see. Any better TVs that have done down and worth a look at?

    New TV time.

Cheers for the in depth reply. I've watched quite a few videos to understand full array dimming and it makes a massive difference from what I can see. I used to sell bikes and found similar with certain brands. High end were brilliant but low end they were selling on some sort of gimmick and...

    New TV time.

The TV sits right next to the French doors and the garden is south facing so does get a fair bit of sun. I have to close the blinds and curtains sometimes as it is so OLED would be even worse?

    New TV time.

We've decided we can replace our ancient Sony ~40" TV from days gone by. Price wise I was thinking £500-1000 but could possibly go up to £1200 as it lasts for years. We mainly watch Amazon/Netflix etc, game on old Xbox one but will likely replace with a series x or next gen when it comes...

****The Official Road Bicycle Gallery Thread****

That's nice, more elegant looking than the bar/stem setup that it came with and much lighter!

Couple of cool defenders with cool plates. V8 KDX sounded nice. P7 has got to be quite expensive?

    Career change.. HGV driver?

I only worked one shift as agency so didn't at the time as I couldn't be bothered doing the manual entry every Saturday. Was only doing 28 hours at the other job so not near max. I've been enjoying it, had a good run today with lots of rural driving. 5 hours driving and 5 hour other work. It...

    Career change.. HGV driver?

I forgot all about this thread until I saw 233 comment about his nephew changing career into driving HGVs. I've since bought a house, been debt free other than mortgage and now have a tiny bit of debt for a car/roof for the house which we half the payments on. I worked a second job delivering...

    Road Cycling

I got the runt of the litter on Monday haha. A 17 plate actros with no cameras. Was away up pitlochry which is lovely. Seeing loads of new places. Had taken a 15 minute break in Crief for WTD 6 hours. Stuck it on break behind a shop to reset my driving hours in pitlochry as I only has 45...

Just general groceries and alcohol mate. Corner shop type affair so cutting my teeth here before finding a better job down the line. Class 1 cryo would be where I would like to get to. The places I'm having to reverse this thing into should make me a decent driver. Clipped a gate and pulled it...

Good luck tomorrow mate. Make sure you have the up to date etube software with the proper diagnostics. I think if pce2 is needed for proper diagnostics though.

    Road Cycling

Not sure if you got it sorted yet. Been busy driving trucks about and less biking. I'm an expert in electric pallet trucks and tachographs now. The last 11 speed I had in that did this was just needing the mechanical pivots cleaned/oiled and worked back and forth until they moved freely...

    Mortgage Rate Rises

Sorry I should have said I do have it but don't remember being explicitly told to prove I had it. We had to Juno through hoops during covid to prove where deposits came from etc but not for insurance.

    Mortgage Rate Rises

I didn't have to prove buildings insurance or any sort of life insurance cover with Nationwide. Maybe at higher loan values it becomes a thing?
