Back in the good old days when i was a judge the comp ran for a calendar month after the results were released. :) But Fstop11 is right. Tbh most people don't take a month to make/take a shot for this. I like postnig at 11pm on the last day of the month, having just 2 hrs to think of something ;)

Best way I found to take photos of the eye on the cheap, unless you can afford reasonable flashes (ring or otherwise) is with natural light. Sit your subject in the shade 90 deg to the sun and zoooooom !, that way you can get a catchlight. Then it's PS with dodge/burn and sharpen. One I...

Nice urban set of pics this. Especially like the bins shot and the crossing shot. I love my 50mm lense it's great for lots of stuff, I've only really been using it for portraits recently though !
