The same/next day. Just choose the 'I have just moved to this property' or similar option.

Sideload Smart tube next and use that to view YouTube. It blocks and sponsor segments

    Pearl Fast Track - Marrakech

First I've heard of it so no first hand experience although i have read of quite excessive queues at Marrakesh of late which might make it more viable. It does seem a rather expensive way to skip the immigration queue however.

I use Revanced Extended to watch YouTube on Android rather than via a browser which I can confirm does have sponsorblock

Brave works brilliantly doesn't it? There are also good addons for MS Edge which work just as effectively. In all fairness, id pay for YT Premium...however I don't want to hear about Harrys razers, Surfshark, Carvertical etc. Sponsor block is an absolute god send in that respect

£41 is incredible value for money for gigabit broadband when you think even relatively recently we would be paying £30+ for 80Mbps (if you were lucky and had a short, good quality line)

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

I was last with Plusnet around 5 years ago, I was having line issues due to being supplied by an old overhead copper line, the call handler promply arranged for Openreach to attend and repair with no BS. Couldn't ask for more from them really.

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Nope, they dug the footpaths up, installed ductwork and toby boxes at the boundary of each property. When a property has an fttp order they survey the property in question to see what civils/groundworks are required and then send the appropriate team to complete a first fix and get fibre to...

Ditto, my own property had a direct buried armoured copper cable yet still has Openreach FTTP installed

Recommend me a provider for Unlimited 4G rural broadband please

Once you have found which network offers broadly the best signal it might be worth looking at the MVNO's who operate on that network for example Smarty on Three or Talk Mobile on Vodafone. Often, the MVNO's have considerably cheaper unlimited data tariffs than the main network for some reason...

Edited due to horrific typo's in this mornings post, I clearly didn't proof read before pressing post.

Great download speed and latency, shame about the upload. Is sub 10 Mbps typical?

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

I've never had an issue with Sky, always been a solid connection whether delivered via ADSL, FTTC or FTTP. I've always found BT offer a marginally better latency than Sky (1ms or so) for some reason, however the Sky connection/latency is stable and you're unlikely to have any issues...

    unraid advice please

Unraid can indeed run torrent clients, most people do so using docker. I personally use binhex qBittorrent docker which riutes all torrent traffic via a vpn service

    BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Im fortunate enough to live in an area where openreach have installed underground ducts for FTTP and its definately preferable to overhead poles even with the associated groundworks. Whilst I understand the reasons for the installation of poles, they do seem like a backward step in many respects

Is it still worth having a separate game drive with how fast nvme is?

Ive had a seperate ssd for games for a number of years but recently upgraded ny system and threw in a 2tb WD nvme drive as part of the upgrade. The nvme combined with gigabit internet, i can see no reason for a seperate drive anymore. Worst case, nvme fails, my game config files are backed...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Indirectly, I would argue it does, if VM are the only provider in the area to offer speeds in excess of 80mbps ie an area with FTTC and VM only then there is likely to be more uptake on VM's broadband offerings in turn leading to over localised utilisation of a cabinet/the local back haul vs an...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Ive personally had a positive experience with VM's broadband, the Gig1 speeds are consistent even during peak hours although I think it helps that Openreach FTTP has long been available in my area alleviating contention issues I guess. The TV has been good too, I miss some of the UHD Sports...
