Wireless N router and Gigabit switch

Thanks for the replies. Think I'm settled on the ProCurve then. I might stretch to the 2820n if it's going to be more reliable with the Broadcom chipset. The extra features aren't the most important thing at the moment, but it may be handy to have more options in the future with VPN and such.

Wireless N router and Gigabit switch

Hey all I'm looking at getting a new ADSL modem/router since my current Netgear DG834G is getting a bit unreliable. I'm looking for something that'll be rock solid and won't keep dropping connections. After some looking it seems Draytek would be the best bet. I'm thinking of the Vigor 2710n...

Windows 7 OEM - Licensed for both 32-bit and 64-bit?

Oops, didn't know that downloading uncracked images was illegal! Sorry mods. And everything worked fine, cheers Rainmaker. Seems an OEM key is valid for x86 and x64 then.

Windows 7 OEM - Licensed for both 32-bit and 64-bit?

Hey all I ordered an OEM copy of Windows 7 Pro x64 for a friend. I'm going to put it on his Sony Vaio TZ laptop when it arrives. I was thinking there'd be no problems with 64-bit since I've been running Vista 64 for 2 years with no hassle, but when I did a bit more looking it turns out it's...

    Upgrade from Dell 2407WFP?

I went for the NEC in the end and I'm glad I did. It's definitely an upgrade from the 2407WFP - everything is pin sharp and colours are really vivid without being overly rich. Gaming's absolutely brilliant, no lag at all. Plus it's got just about every input you could possibly need which is handy.

Dell 2407 on/off button stuck - will they replace?

Yeah they did the same for me on the first one. All you need is the monitor and stand. Though for some reason on the second replacement they left me with the first replacement as well for about two weeks, so I had a temporary dual 24" setup :p 3840x1200 is rather sweet. They came back and took...

Dell 2407 on/off button stuck - will they replace?

Same thing happened to me, I gave Dell a ring and they came out next day with a new monitor. I had an A03 and they came with a refurbed A04. My first replacement was a bit off though, backlighting was very uneven and the colours looked a bit washed out. I rang them again and they replaced that...

    Upgrade from Dell 2407WFP?

I'm mainly thinking of upgrading since I can do it for ~€140, I wouldn't really bother otherwise. Based on the reviews and feedback it seems like it should be worth that, I think I might just go ahead and order this weekend:D

    Upgrade from Dell 2407WFP?

Hey all I've had my Dell 2407WFP for two years now love it. I may have an opportunity to upgrade on the cheap though - my parents want a 24" for their office so I was thinking of giving them mine and then paying the difference on a new monitor. Are there any monitors out there that would...

    Money To Burn....

I've just ordered the same CPU and Motherboard, went for 6GB Corsair Dominator 1,600MHz RAM and the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366. Hard to go wrong with that setup IMO. I'm using the Antec P182 and apparently the Noctua just fits in, so the P180 should the same. This review tests it in a P182 and...

    Akasa Integral P2 eSATA/USB 2.0 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure

Yep, it'll work fine. From the SATA-II sticky in the Hard Drives forum: "5. Will my new 'SATA-II'/SATA300 drive work on my SATA150 controller (and vice versa)? - All SATA drives should work with all controllers. This includes SATA300 drives working on SATA150 controllers and vice versa...

    Powerline Networking Questions

That sounds like a much better option! I've found a nice and cheap 85 Mbps kit elsewhere, so if should any wireless access point work with this setup? I didn't know you could plug a wireless access point into a wireless router to boost the range. I used to have a Netgear WG602 access point...

    Powerline Networking Questions

The WGXB102 is a kit as far as I know - it comes with a wired bridge (XE102) and an access point (WGX102) as well. Seems like powerline in general is universally compatible so I think it'd be safe to tell my friend to order one. Thanks for the help

    Powerline Networking Questions

Hey all I need to help someone extend the range of their wireless network. At the moment they have a Belkin N1 modem router and a Belkin Wireless Universal Range Extender as they have a big house. The range extender is extremely unstable though, it drops its connection about 3 or 4 times a...

Gaming headphones to replace Medusa 5.1

Thanks, that's good to know. Anyone have any advice on connecting the headphones and speakers at the same time with a splitter?

    Looking for good speakers

Acoustic Energy Aego Ms are probably the best 2.1 PC speakers, I've got a set and they're amazing. They're a lot pricier than the T10s you're looking at but they're definitely worth it.

    earphones for MP3 player advice

Another vote for the CX95s. You need to burn them in a fair bit as mentioned above but once you do they sound absolutely brilliant, a big step up from my old CX300s. One problem though - the cable design is really stupid. They come with a reasonably short cable and then an extension. Trouble is...

Gaming headphones to replace Medusa 5.1

Hey all I'm thinking of replacing my current Medusa 5.1 headset as the shoddy build quality is really starting to annoy me. One of the headphone covers keeps falling off and the fact that the amp is so sensitive to mobile phones is getting on my nerves as well. That and I kind of want an...

Replacement Dell 2407WFP - Worse than original

Just an update on this - got the second replacement sent over today. Luckily this one is perfect, quality is just as good as my original one. It was slightly annoying to have to get another replacement but Dell's warranty service is pretty damn efficient.
