You could always buy and return under distance selling if you dont think its better/worth the money? But play around with the EQ to get the best out of the new amp.

People on Bimmerpost say that replacing the two under seat subs (1 hour to do) is an additionaly worthy upgrade as well but basically changing the amp and having DSP and adjusting the equaliser will vastly improve the sound quality...

Some people do that on purpose though.............like sticking the wrong badge on the rear of your car

Another vote for Audiotec Fischer and/or Bimmertech. For around £600-£700 and a quick and simple swap out job, almost every HK BMW can be made to sound vastly better. BMW actually put good speakers in most of their cars but skimped on the amplifier. Change that and its a revelation.

Its simples. Pretty much leave them OEM except maybe gunmetal alloys ;) Less is more ;)

Had to call them out once. Came within an hour, guy was great, double checked my diagnosis of my car - FUBAR and then loaded me on his loader and took me home. No complains whatsoever. I may well have been lucky as it was early afternoon on a weekday on a nicer weather day.

Yeah but in BMW's case its exactly the same battery pack, just set to 90% capacity for one market and 71% for another. Its's weird.

No its done deliberately by BMW. They both have the same 24kW battery fitted So a US model done on the more generous European WLTP test would always come up with 21% less range. The US car can be easily coded to give the same range as the Europe X5s but obviously negates your warranty I did...

They have also improved the brake regen putting more back into the battery. Hopefully with all the changes that should offset the higher power motors. Plus higher power doesnt always mean more kW per mile used in reality.

Again i am only going on my real world EV mileage on my 45e which i have driven for 40,000 miles that the reality is 10% off official figures in summer and obviously much less in winter (only does 30-32 miles in winter) and the fact that the new model has a 23% bigger battery. Also be careful...

Well in the summer with my 45e I can get 52 miles so why wouldn't the newer model with a higher capacity battery give you 63? Granted the reality is summer was normally around 45-47 and BMW claimed 50-54 miles on ev range with a usable capacity of 20.9kw from a 24kw battery on the 45e. The new...
