    Brera, anyone have one?

Had a 2.4 diesel, mapped. Got rid after 6 months, would have been sooner if I hadn't held out on a price I was never going to get. Loved the looks. Didn't like, heavy, fwd, not great on fuel economy, short diesel rev range, several electrical issues (mainly brake switch I think) The solid...

    I want a BMW Z4

Thats a good price, I'm assuming it's an early model ('04) with facelift bumper and headlights fitted. The headlights would not have been cheap. For £15k I'd be looking at an M. they're a great weekend car but you have to want a "drivers car" The manual gearbox is clunky when cold but...

    Building a new speaker setup

So I should avoid newer Kefs? No point going for a Q200C, then some Q100 for the fronts, and moving the old floor standing ones to the rear? Any particular models to look out for used? they seem to range from cheap old low end, to nice new modern stuff which I could easily spend a lot on...

    Building a new speaker setup

I'm looking to get a good surround sound setup for movies, tv and gaming mostly. I have the AV amp, a Sony STR-DN1050. I'm after some advice on speakers. My dad has passed on to me a pair of Kef C-Series floor standing speakers, which must be getting close to 30 years old... Are these...

    Sky F&F deal on again

I'm finally moving from a rented flat to my own house. The new house is already connected up for Sky, so there's no connection costs. For the past few years I've had Sky, including line rental, unlimited BB, HDTV and Sky Sports 1&2. Paying around £79 a month. Is it worth cancelling, going for a...

    Bye Bye TVR, Hello BMW.....

Nice car, the coupe looks great in red. The TVR looks awsome, but as a daily driver the Z4 does make much more sense. Half the TVR's I've seen have been at the side of the road  one of them lying on their roof  Also, hello from another Z4-forumer ;)

    BMW 850 5.0 V12

The 840 ci sport from 96 onwards is the sensible one to have. Unless you have lots of cash to throw at an 850 csi. I loved my 840, it's an awesome car that I would have again in a heartbeat if I could afford a big house with a huge garage for a nice car collection. It was a little too...

What's the purpose of the lights on the side?

    350Z, Z4 or something else?

They're great when the cars been sat outside all day and it's freezing cold. :) I'm slightly mystified over your repeated dislike for the Z4s interior. It's no luxo barge and tends to rattle over bumps but its a sports car. On the whole the materials are better than most and the design is...

Michelin Super Sport - Pretty amazed in all honesty!!

After the performance (or lack of) from my conti's yesterday, I am leaning towards splashing out the extra for the Michelins when the time comes. It doesn't seem to take much to unsettle the current tyres when it's cold and mildy moist. A couple of roundabouts have seen the back end step out...

Michelin Super Sport - Pretty amazed in all honesty!!

Its certainly a glowing review you're giving them. I was looking at the price for a set for my car the other day. The super sports would be around £960 fitted. There aren't many other choices in the correct sizes, the Superbsports would actually be the next width up for the rear. I can get...

    Career in 3D

How is the advertising industry compared to games? I've always been tempted to go that way. Probably less "fun" or creative but more stable? Better money? I wouldn't say a degree will help money wise in the games industry unless you want to go abroad, like Canada where salaries can be...

    Career in 3D

I went to Teesside Uni and did the Games Art degree, for me it was worth it, it got me a job. BUT... I learnt my chosen subject of vehicle modelling with some help from a couple of fellow students, during my final year. That piece of work alone really got me my job, it showed I had a natural...

    Future Classic predictions?

Definitely already a classic, the 840 CiSport will probably be the more attainable version. The BMW Z4M, coupe and roadster has to become a classic. It's already old fashioned in it's rawness compared to other M's of its era. It didn't sell massive numbers (the non M is a little too common).
