I don't know if I can link the full post but this is part of a reply from the BBC to someone on AVForums about iplayer audio and video quality.
With regards to 5.1 audio, we do not have any plans to add that functionality in the short term. This is still quite a niche set-up in homes and does...
Hi, A quick query on the positioning of surround speakers. The speakers are Monitor Audio Bronze FX. The layout is as shown. I appreciate that non of these is likely to be optimal but it is what it is. The main seating position will be the coach at the bay window with head just a few inches into...
Just done that a couple of days ago. New monitor is now my main one connected via HDMI, older monitor on DVI-D, different resoltions as well. No problems at all, just set up through windows.
I sometime connect a drive to the usb port of my bt home hub 3. It appears as a folder under the hub in networks. Was able to stream video from it without a problem.
On some bt hubs you need to connect to the ip address 192.168.1.254.
Should be info on the web for doing it with your router.
Thanks for the replies.
I do game but it's not the main use of the monitor. I've got a 7970 and I'm not sure if the additional pixels of a 1440 will just kill it really. I don't play online and don't mind frame rates in the mid 40's.
I'm coming from a 22 1680x1050 so it looks like a slight...

Is the...

Another vote for crashplan. It can do what you want with timed backups or manual, or as mentioned above just run continuously.
If you want offsite backups then use the paid version and use their cloud storage. You could set that up with separate backups for mon to fri if you wanted, just be...
My mistake. It was originally available via aerial, but it looks like they've removed that option for new customers last year. I would imagine that even for customers who could still get it via aerial that it dissapear eventually.
BT sport is through a standard aerial. You need to take either a standard broadband or an infinity connection though. As far as I am aware champions league is moving to BT next season, don't know if it's all games or just some.
I've used the pure evoke flow and pure sensia for internet radio. The sound quality is excellent. They are wifi but pure say they have an optional usb to ethernet adapter.
