OCuK and WIndows to Vista Upgrades?

Quick question is the copy of Vista going to be a upgrade version or is it going to be a full version which will be bootable? Pain in the backside if it's an upgrade as a fresh install will take forever.

Is this a good board for my first build?

Totally agree have built three new machines in the last month and the performance coming from the conroe cores is amazing. If your doing a new build go for the Intel, the e6600 is apparently able to wipe the floor with the FX62. Intel e6600 is about £230 in comparison to FX62 £490. Totally...

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Faulty NB Fan

As you may guess by the title I have a faulty NB fan on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, does anyone know of a good replacement? It's probably getting a touch roasty toasty at the moment . Fan still runs but makes a really horrible noise which obviously means that the fan has had it.

thinking of getting a x2 cpu

I took the plunge for a 4600 X2 cpu I've never looked back. Some games developers are now taking advantage of dual core games such as Quake 4 and Half Life 2: Episode 1 support dual cores. I found that the improvements to frame rates are small but it does help keeping them more consistent...

But if you have that kind of cash to spare could consider the 24" Dell that's a nice piece of kit.

    Which widescreen

Personally I would recommend the Viewsonic VX2025wm same sort of specs as the NEC but 2ms slower response and it's not as bright but other than that it's not far off. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2006/03/30/20_inch_widescreen_monitors/1.html this review gave it top marks and the NEC...

The Acer isn't bad for the money Sorry thought you were after a 4:3 if your after widescreen for the money the Acer isn't a bad buy at all, looking at the price and the spec the two major things that affect picture quality is responce time which is pretty good on the Acer and contrast ratio...
