Quick question is the copy of Vista going to be a upgrade version or is it going to be a full version which will be bootable? Pain in the backside if it's an upgrade as a fresh install will take forever.

As you may guess by the title I have a faulty NB fan on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe, does anyone know of a good replacement? It's probably getting a touch roasty toasty at the moment . Fan still runs but makes a really horrible noise which obviously means that the fan has had it.
I took the plunge for a 4600 X2 cpu I've never looked back. Some games developers are now taking advantage of dual core games such as Quake 4 and Half Life 2: Episode 1 support dual cores.
I found that the improvements to frame rates are small but it does help keeping them more consistent...
I have just this second installed my lovely new AMD X2 4600+ processor. Very pleased but I was talking to a friend who says that Windows XP Home does not offer full dual core support could somebody please tell me weather this is true or not!

Yeah that is caused by electrical interference it happens because an AC power source ossilates causing the flickering effect just move the lamp away from the monitor that's about all you can do with that I get the same problem with my desktop fan at work screws up the eyes. I should sue my...
Personally I would recommend the Viewsonic VX2025wm same sort of specs as the NEC but 2ms slower response and it's not as bright but other than that it's not far off.

Sorry thought you were after a 4:3 if your after widescreen for the money the Acer isn't a bad buy at all, looking at the price and the spec the two major things that affect picture quality is responce time which is pretty good on the Acer and contrast ratio...
