I have found an answer. The raid set up deleted the partion info. So i rebuilt the partion with testdisk_win.exe freeware and all is fine. Big PHEW !!

ok sorted it. Drive seamed to be corrupt when i did chkdsk. then dir and i saw a norton goback directory. reinstalled goback on primary drive and it has sorted the problem. phew.

I tried that but no joy unless i am doing somthing wrong. when i boot to a 98 startup disk it does not see the hard drive. and in recoverymode it says drive is active.
