Hey i work in worcester, new warndon or st peters are the only places i'd choose to live; both offer modern housing and excellent m5 access. City centre traffic is like every other city/town/village in the country- terrible at rush hour. Pubs are pretty good, clubs not the best but meh who...
that sounds about right, it used to run hot in the last year i had it. it was always on my bed with little or no ventilation so i got what i deserved. the gpu used to run at 90, it was so hot i couldnt touch it for more than a couple of seconds. I might sounds stupid but what the hell is...
In a word- no. I press the power button and the blue light which used to turn solid blue when the laptop was switched on flashes 5 times then stops. The screen does not flicker, no fans power up, literally nothing happens at all apart from the blue light flashing 5 times and the hd clicking 5...
hi sorry i've been on a suspension. ok so i've tried to start the lappy without the hd in and unfortunately it didnt. Infact it did exactly the same thing but without any clicking from the hd. So does that mean the lappy is dead but the hd might have some info left on it? i'll bag a caddy and...
Thanks for the reply atari. It is out of warranty now unfortunately. When you say create a live recovery environment- how would i go about doing that? i've got an 8 gb flash i can use.
Thanks, alex.
ok so no replies i guess i'm screwed. just let me ask you this- could i put the hd into my gf's laptop without causing terrible things to happen to it? its an acer not an asus. i want to check if it is just the hd or if the entire lappy has crumbled before me.
come on guys!
Its an ASUS A6K Q002H. I tried to turn it on as usual but all that happens is the blue light flashes 5 times and in time with this flash it sort of 'clicks'. It sounds like its coming from the hard drive compartment so i took it out and cleaned it (was dusty) but no fix.
What should i do? is...
mine has never done this. i've never had a more stable phone for browsing tbh. maybe you got a bad one?? is it sim free? if they've leant it to you then i would guess not. mine is sim free and has been pretty much solid.
i'm on orange but my 5800 was bought sim free. i'm on v31 at the mo and have tried to update to v40 using ota and nokia updater through my laptop. It says that v31 is the only one available to me. How do i get v40????
i'm still loving mine, its so damn satisfying to use!! i'm still not sure of the network branded ones though. get a sim free one like i did to be safe.
My 5800 is totally rapid, it is by far and away the fastest and most reponsive handset i've ever owned. i've heard that the ones that are slower are the network branded ones... its the same old story- nokia make a great handset and the uk networks **** them up. well, i'm not complaining as mine...
been using it for nearly a week now, i'm still trying to find something wrong with it (other than the camera). Tinternet is really good, its the first phone i've ever had that actually delivers what i would classify as a 'pleasant' browsing experience. the speed of downloads is lightening...
yeah i'm starting to realise that. the camera really is terrible, god its awful. what a shame! still, every other part of the phone seems really well put together, the internet is so much faster to load than my n96. the os is amazingly easy to navigate too (i'm not used to this in a nokia!)...
mine was less than £215 in the end. been on it for an hour- the screen is so nice! internet works a treat, feels good.
apparently nokia have now sold over 2 million of these bad boys so far. why would they reduce the price of there best selling phone? confused.
tell me guys- which phone...
yeah i see your situation meritor, the thing is- when i first asked for an upgrade from orange they quoted me £399 to upgrade to the n96 with 2 months left on my contract. so when i was 1 month away from the end of my contract i called them and said i wanted to leave and requested my code to...
ok then, how about MobilePhoneXChange, fonebank, mazuma, oldmobilephones etc etc. they all will pay over £200 for the n97 for example. it just seems odd.
