    Phone or network problem?

Has she accidently enabled divert all calls to mailbox? The phone should have options for enabling/disabling/checking what diverts are set. If not try these for checking ('[SEND]' is the key use to initiate a call): *#21#[SEND] -- query divert all calls *#21*11#[SEND] -- query...

How is my phone accessing the web?

On my 8GB, on the browser's menu 'Tools->Change Connection' tells you your current connection. I'd guess the silver version is the same?

    N95 Web Access Via Proxy

I don't know the answer, so this is just a wild guess, but you could try specifying the proxy server as: username:password@server

Orange and the 8GB N95 - do they stock it?

It's probably an unbranded, unlocked phone with an Orange contract (which is why I'd assume the tariff isn't good -- e2save aren't getting much commission from Orange in order to subsidise the phone).

    Nokia N95 8GB..help! :D

Edit: Already answered earlier (seems you can't delete a reply?) Cheers, Paul.

    PAC Codes

Um, usually you don't cancel -- I've ported my number 4 times, and never had to cancel. The issuing of the PAC in effect starts the cancellation, but has the advantage that if you don't use the PAC the cancellation is aborted, and you continue on with the old network as before. After giving...

    debranding and unlocking 3(Network) N95 8gb

The only network locked phone I've owned was a few years back and that was locked to Vodafone. They unlocked it for free after the minimum term. Looking at 3's price guide (downloaded from their website), it's unclear whether you have to pay the "Unlock admin fee" or not (currently £15) once...

    debranding and unlocking 3(Network) N95 8gb

Yes you can, but if you're still in contract they'll charge you a LOT of £££s

    Please enter £ sign

It's not pounds sterling, but pounds in weight (in the same way ' is feet, " is inches). Mind you, BT call it square and not hash!

    n95/N95 8gb

Browsing Planet 3 is free; if you click a link that'll take you away from Planet 3 (e.g. to BBC news item) you get taken to a page that says you're about to leave Planet 3 and start incurring data charges. You can then click the link that takes you to the real external site (which will use your...

    n95/N95 8gb

I have an unbranded N95 8GB and can access Planet3 with no problems (though I mostly just go to My3 on there). Don't know about MSN (haven't tried it). There are some services that (supposedly) won't work, but I couldn't get out of customer services just what services would and wouldn't work...

    3G Coverage

Phones are both GSM & UMTS (3G). Which GSM bands are supported may vary. The phones will switch between GSM and UMTS as needed, though (on Nokias at least) you can also set them to be GSM only (e.g. if there is no 3G network available, why search for it). The 3G coverage varies by network...

    o2 + N95 Black

Isn't O2 Active what O2 call their mobile website? If you have a profile called that, that sounds like the profile that's meant to be used for accessing the web. I left O2 last october so can't tell you what, if any, differences there are between the profiles. Why not just "edit" the profiles...

    o2 + N95 Black

These days the "wap" settings are usually "web" settings. Have you tried just using the wap access point? Or try your main access point (can't remember what O2 call theirs, something like "O2 Postpay")

    Selling / Returning N95 8Gb - What should I do?

You bought the phone, and so it is yours to keep or sell as you please. The fact that a phone is sold at a deep discount (or given away for free) is irrelevant -- you've still bought the phone. Of course the network gets back the discount, by having a minimum term length in the contract and...

    I've rec'd Nokia N95 8Gb

You have to edit the WiFi access point settings: 1. Tools>Settings>Connection>Access Points 2. Edit your WiFi access point by selecting it 3. Options>Advanced Settings >> here you can set the Proxy server and port.

    N95 8GB Firmware 15.0.015

Easiest way is to run the "Setup Wizard". In the unlikely event of that failing, you can get the settings sent to you as a configuration text from the Nokia website.

    O2 Simlocked ?

I don't think O2 lock contract phones, but even if do they should give you the unlock code if you ask them once your 18 months is up.

    N95 8GB on Three

I'm thinking of getting one of these on 3, but I prefer unbranded phones. Does the settings wizard not work for 3? (I'm assuming the N95 8GB has that). What are the extras that the 3 firmware has?
