I ran the benchmark from the C: drive originally but even when I ran it from elsewhere then I got the same results. I honestly can't remember whether the screenshot was taken in one configuration or the other.
You raise a good point about data corruption. If I have data loss then it's hardly...
You're welcome. I was about to return my drive, I was minutes from wiping it and removing it from my PC. I stumbled across the solution when reading a review for the 960 Pro (which I was considering buying instead).
My results are on a Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 5 so it's got the Gen3 x4 M.2 slots...
I've found a solution to this, you don't need to install any other drivers.
Earlier my AS SSD benchmark was showing
But if you go to the properties in device manager and check the second box
then you get this
This is excellent Gibbo, thank you.
Last week I ordered a G1 because of the delays with the Strix but I kept my Strix pre-order in place. Had this deal been available then I'd have done it.
To save me the hassle of returning the G1 under the distance selling regs, can I just call...
I've had enough of waiting and bought a Gigabyte G1 instead of waiting for the Strix. Unfortunately I've now lost out because I've had to pay extra for the card.
Sadly, I'll have to sell the Strix at a profit to make up the downfall. I don't like doing that but needs must.
Shocking service...
I ordered my Strix OC @£619. I assume if I change to another card then I pay the difference between current prices and £619.
If that's the case then it seems a bit rubbish that I backed the lame horse
Quite right! And that actually gives me a clue... Corsair 450W PSU!
i5-3750k
8GB RAM
ASROCK Z77E-ITX
OCZ SSD
The fact that you asked what PSU I had suggests that could be quite significant then!
I'd happily buy a new one if necessary.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but it's a problem that could be the graphics card related.
I've recently bought a 290x (Sapphire) from this fine establishment and in terms of performance it's brilliant however when playing BF4 it crashes from time to time. In fact, it's rare that I get...
Unfortunately my Sapphire 290X keeps crashing out of BF4 under stock settings, I then notice the fan going like the clappers.
I'm going to send it back unless there's a quick solution that will help run stable.
Will probably replace with a 780 instead :(
Can I join the club? Upgrading from an ageing 5870 to a 290X, taking advantage of the daily deal.
I suspect I might need to upgrade my 450W PSU though... :(
I'm currently running a Radeon HD 5870 and I'm considering an upgrade. How does my card stack up nowadays? I assume I'll see a significant difference by upgrading to a 7950 or 7970?
I'm currently running a 22" ' 1680 x 1050 but will likely upgrade to either 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. Can't...
Thank you :)
I forgot to dust the graphics card when it was transplanted and I'm unsure as to whether I will bother with any further tidying of cables, seeing as they can't be seen anyway!
For reference, my H80i sucks air in and the rear fans exhausts. I've yet to receive a fan splitter...
