    Creality K1 3D Printer

Hi all, Just upgraded from a Geeetech A10 to the Creality K1 printer and am seriously impressed with how far things have come. It's about as close as you can get to a set-and-forget printer. Anyone else got one? I was looking at the Bambu labs also, but wasn't impressed with the price or the...

Water Dispenser Machines and Bottled Water

Another option I've seen is collecting rainwater and filtering that - there's a youtube channel I follow called "life uncontained" and they did that. But theoretically you could adapt their water filtering system for any water source - it's basically a sediment filter and a UV treatment module...

    Tv issue

I must admit I've not read the 5 pages, did the original issue get solved? I had a similar issue with a TV and it turned out the front panel had shorted, meaning all the buttons got pressed!

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

That's not really the point. I had browsed much more recently but not purchased.

Water Dispenser Machines and Bottled Water

Would it not be worth looking into water treatment for the house instead?

Does something need to be done about dogs?

Honestly, just like people with kids, dog owners need to keep their pets under control. The failings are down to bone idle individuals who put as little effort into life choices as they can. I would place a large bet that people with out of control dogs also have out of control children.

    Fibrenest

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else was on fibrenest? I'm in the process of starting the drawn-out process to complain via Ofcom regarding their public IP shenanigans - basically, they promise a public IP for the higher tier connections, but then never actually set them up - claiming "technical...

    Flood detection

you can get battery operated leak detectors on ebay. You place the "head" where the water is likely to be and it'll beep if it detects a leak/water. Fairly simple, but effective.

    Hard floor cleaners

The bissell crosswaves come to mind. I've read nothing but bad reviews about Karchers' equivalent. And Bissell make decent carpet cleaners so the crosswaves come from a decent pedigree.

tenants and your rights as a landlord?

The way people are banging on about nationwide banning BOMAD deposits for 10% mortgages I'm inclined to believe that's not really the case.

tenants and your rights as a landlord?

The TV has an obsession with poverty porn (it's a term, look it up). You only have to look at the amount of TV programmes about poor people/benefits etc. Tenants are now the next target as we are "too poor to buy" (read: didn't get a leg up from mummy and daddy) but what the shows *always* fail...

    Need a new dishwasher

Spending £600 on a dishwasher is excessive, IMO. There isn't much innovation in dishwashers - certainly not as much as there is in washing machines and tumble driers. The cleaning power doesn't differ hugely between brands as they all really share the same innards albeit with slightly different...

    Weird RX580 Issue

A few months back, I got an AMD RX580 and installed it into my HTPC, which is a Core i5 3470 running on an Intel DQ77MK motherboard. Before that I had a GTX960 that worked flawlessly. With this RX580 I've noticed that when booting up, I get 'static' on my TV connected via HDMI. When the machine...

Dirty bog with limescale at the bottom...

Depending on how bad it is, you might need to weaken it with a strong acidic product and then go at it with a pumice stone (which is what I had to do, toilet was caked with years of limescale). We got a bottle of "Vanosolve" made by Evans, industrial strength limescale remover. Treat the...

    Vacuum recommendations

Shark are an excellent brand - not sure about how good filtration is but they do have HEPA filters in them, and their suction could easily take on a bagged cleaner. Don't buy dyson stuff, it's all branding and not much in the way of performance - their filters clog often, their suction drops...

Buy to let - Is there still money to be made?

No. Don't BTL. Too many cowboy landlords trying to make a quick buck return on their "investments". Property should not be a money spinner.

I'd love to review the Asterion. Could do with a good replacement for my el-cheapo case!
