    Dune: Part 2 (2024)

Hmmm.......not quite up to the expectations TBH. It's impressive, but somewhat lacking in tangible feeling and expression, with a first hour that is extremely ponderous with only it's observations around religious mania and messianic machinations giving any sense of progression. Very surprised...

Elite Strap w/battery back on sale in the Meta Store. Should hopefully be the new fixed batch going on the RMA timelines doing the rounds a couple weeks back. Assuming they have fixed it of course ;)

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

^ The Steam Deck is still the only handheld that can be recommended without major issue - plus the OLED model addresses one of its glaring weaknesses. The Ally has really come on, and does get picked up when you want that 'best performance' with certain demanding games, and once you've...

Could return it, but could easily get one with a similar issue. That's if the issue is with the strap at all, and it's not a software issue that'll eventually affect everyone. If you can get the refund as opposed to a replacement, I'd go with that. Meta nuked the strap from their online store...

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Wrote this elsewhere to a similar question, but will quote I'd imagine you'd be happy with either model TBH

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Last two Decks came from the Netherlands IIRC......at least for EU customers

    Valve announces the SteamDeck

Got a 1TB fairly handy not long after 6pm earlier. Made a mistake in selling my original 512GB, and keeping a 64GB (that had been upgraded to 2TB). Just couldn't get on with the plasticky, glossy screen so back to etched for me.

    Quest 3 owners etc

Essential frankly. Been using adapters on all VR headsets since the Vive and it's always the first accessory on the list. Unless you're constantly swapping the headset between people, and even then, it only takes a couple seconds to slip off.

VR Optician lenses appeared yesterday. No issues at all. Snap in, stay in, no issues having the interface at its closest distance. Crystal clear now on my 2nd Q3 (first was RMA'd for trapped dust).

    Asus ROG Ally

Well....had the misfortune of losing an SD card, probably as a direct result of whatever ASUS were up to with the Ally 1TB Sandisk Extreme Pro eventually gave up the ghost after looking in decent shape after being pulled from the Ally last month when all the initial SD stuff came out. Never...

    Asus ROG Ally

Done it early days of launch when I was swapping out the SSD. Went fine. Done it again there recent enough after my Steam folder decided to effectively delete itself - don't ask ! Just one of the far too many issues I've had with the Ally - and it was an absolute chore. Servers looked to be...

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Caught it yesterday All I'll say is that no matter how low your level of expectations are..........I'd advise you to lower them even further. Once the initial act is over (and even then, you'll have to allow for the obvious break in believability), it's all downhill at a most plodding pace.

    Asus ROG Ally

Aye. Have taken my 1TB card out for the time being, even though I'd not actually put anything onto it yet. People affected seem to suggest it's related to people using 'plugged in' turbo mode for the vast majority of time sending the card/reader over recommended operating temp. Can be managed...

World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Oh aye.......never drops below 80/90 or so, but never feels like it. Even locked at min/max 60 it never seems smooth. It's strange because I don't recall seeing such issues the last time I tried it out months ago on the previous 21:9 monitor setup so not sure if some update or driver issue has...

World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Monitor continues to impress....caught up with some Dying Light 2 I'd been putting off. But.....Halo Infinite is a real puzzler. Played through it on the Series X, so not really checked out the PC version too much, but a smooth experience it is not. Don't care what the monitor says on the OSD...

Have certainly noticed Doom Eternal auto switching to HDR. Haven't gone through the library but hopefully it's something that'll feature more often

World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Looking good here...box arrived Thursday and looked in perfect condition, but only got around to trying out yesterday. No sign of any issues so far, screen looks perfect (think some of those with marked surfaces could be because the foam covering the wrong way round maybe ?). Installed fine, DP...

World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Looks as though the monitors are shipping from the Netherlands (Ireland orders anyway), which will add an extra day on I'd say. Probably looking at Thursday

World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Hard to say exactly as the estimated shipping and arrival date is normally in place once the order is checked out, but is generally quite fluid. Had a difference of about 5 hours between confirmed and status changed to shipped this morning (yet the expected ship date was originally tomorrow)...
