Well... The ASUS A8V deluxe is a pile of **** for OC. :mad: The most I can get out of my Opty 165 is 2250 MHz. I know its the fact that I cant give my BH5 DDR all the juice it needs to fly. It wants over 3v and all I can it on this board is 2.8... I could sit here for hours and squeeze as much...

What is BTX, is it something i've dreamed up?!?!! I've just had a look at ATX 2.0 and the converters look identical to the BTX one I have?:confused:

Hmmm... ATX 2.0, not sure about that.... It came with an adapter but I seem t remember its for BTX? Its already got a dedicated 4 pin power point, I use it for the x800, it aslo has 2 sata power connectors.. I'll look into the ATX 2.0 thing though.....

What steppings do you all have?

Ive been reading the thread on the ASrock board, and at first it has few issues, but when they are sorted out it sounds like a reasonable cheap board that I wont feel gutted about getting rid when I go PCI! I've also just got the stepping of my 165, its CCBWE 0551UPMW. Anyone got one of these...

I know out of all the boards Im looking at the DFI will be the best for a hard OC, my memory will love the extra voltages I could put through them (TwinMoss BH5). I'm also looking at the others becasue they are a lot cheaper, the ASrock is dirt cheap!!

You'll have to post your result here mate. :D The ASrock looks like a possible choice, I may look into the MSI boards too? I'm wanting about 2.4/2.5 out of my Opty 165, any more would be a lovely bonus. I'm still gonna see what the asus A8V can do but I suspect it wont be a good performer.

But isn't the DFI NF4 Ultra D a PCI board?? :confused:

Greets all..... Can anyone tell me which AGP 939 board is the best for OC? Im getting an Opty 165 very soon and currently have an Asus A8V Deluxe Mobo. I cant really afford to upgrade to PCI as yet so I was wondering which board would be best for my new Opty 165 and a good OC? Cheers :D

I've read loads of threads on Opty 170's but hardly any on the Opty 165, so, If you're an Opty 165 user and have a stable OC, post your results and your screenies ect here. :D

Hello All..... Very soon I'll be recieving an Opty 165 0550UPMW. I intend running it on an ASUS A8vDeluxe (bios rev 1017) with 1g TwinMoss BH5 DDR and cooled under an Arctic Freezer 64Pro, obviously I'm wanting to OC it. I cant really afford to upgrade my MOBO and GPU to PCI so I'm sorta stuck...
