    Regarding Pluto

Hi folks, long time no see. I know that Seti and space sciences are no longer the main topics of interest in this forum now, but I'm hoping that there are enough of the original Seti folks, and those interested in space sciences in general that this post won't be out of place. I'm sure...

    P4 prescott and PC400`

Well, since you seem to be forming a pattern here of destroying hardware as well as OS installs, I hope you will understand if I withdraw my invitation of hospitality for later in the year? I will feel more secure with the several hundred mile barrier between you and my hardware. :D

Me too dude, it looks like you've gone from trashing OS installs to blowing up motherboards. ;):p Hmmm, been a while since I last saw the inside of this place.

Do we want to beat the Germans or what????

What?!?!?!?!   You know you should, it's good for you, and good for your PC too. It keeps your system in top running condition, and the excess heat all those extra crunchers that you'll build will give off will mean you don't have to worry if your central heating system breaks...

Do we want to beat the Germans or what????

There's a saying that given enough monkeys with typewriters, sooner or later one of them will type out a Shakespear play. I'm not saying the top 5 ARE part of an experiment or anything, but.... ;):D

    We're No 1

If you're talking northern California, then I'd say here would be a good place to visit. :) Also, for some strange reason, I think I'd have to visit this place. ;) You can sink SoCal beneath the waves of the pacific though for all I care.

Do we want to beat the Germans or what????

Looks like you got your wish, as I type this out, the OcUK team is at position 19. So that puts us on the first page. :) I think that now we're on the first page though, we should not become complacent, we should all endeavour to type out even more words, avoid the use of abbreviations and...

Pic of the day 22nd August 2004

That's fair enough matey. :) The ones I've done in the past were pointed out to me after the fact by a UB, and nothing ever came of it. Most of the photographers are decent about it if you make it clear it's not for profit, you'll give them credit and link to their site for them. :)

Pic of the day 22nd August 2004

To be honest, I've made the same mistake a couple of times myself in the past, since the hotlink is to NASA, I'd leave it. An apology will go a long way with stuff like that if anything ever came to it, mainly due to the fact that it's not for commercial use, just edit your post to include a...

I don't mind at all matey, tis always good to see some astronomy eye candy. :) 5 * matey. :) A word of caution though, not all photographers are appreciative of their work being used/linked to. I know the above image is on the NASA APOD page, but the copyright still stands.

Pic Of The Day 19th August 2004

Todays pic is another of those that is an interesting expression of the chaos that surrounds in space. A picture that is by no means what we would normally imagine when we hear the word galaxy. As usual with images from The Hubble Space Telescope, a full text article, and a good...
