Sorry to everyone that has invited me to games the last couple of days, for some reason my live account has 'downgraded' to silver, even though I bought a 1-year gold subscription card and it accepted the code :( i've been in touch and are now waiting for MS to rectify the problem with my account.

IIRC, when i was with o2 I had to get mms/gprs 'activated' on my account, it didnt cost anything.

I use an audigy 2 ZS for this sort of thing, they can be picked up very cheaply now :) Just using a 2x phono to 1x 3.5mm 'headphone' jack into the line-in port.

Have you checked it is enabled in the bios?

Also on NTL 10mbit (although i'm currently at work where there is an unbelieveable bandwidth) I think 1mb ADSL connections seem to be 'the norm'?

Guessing the software is english, maybe try adding English(U.S) as a language in 'Regional options' within control panel? failing that, can you provide more detail? What software it is, version number, what version of windows you are running etc....

I got bad rep for 'bad language' before I had a headset...... work that one out :)

Have you set the FlatStyle of all the controls on your form to FlatStyle.System? This, in addition to Application.EnableVisualStyles() will do the job, nothing else is needed :)

Install a trial version of Resco File Explorer, this will allow you to format the SD card :)

Sorry to say it, but that looks horrendous! EDIT: Also, you've made extra exhaust space, but no extra intake - the fans can only push out as much air as is currently inside the machine so i'd wager that there will be no real difference to temperatures unless the intake vents were modified too.

I purchased a 2100 points card from game. They did not have them on the shelves, they were behind the cash desk in a glass cabinet - I had to ask for one.

If you run the NAT test from the dashboard (in network settings) does your NAT read as 'open'? It shouldnt read as moderate or strict.... Also, make sure you're running the latest firmware for the WRT54G! EDIT: do not forward ports and have uPNP enabled, just enable uPNP by itself

I cured the problem by setting my IP/DNS etc etc manually, and enabling uPNP on my router (linksys WRT54G btw)
