7800XT is going to be a 5-year card!

I have just bought a 7800 xt to replace a 1080ti i bought exactly 5 years ago. I paid £570 for that. I have paid £460 with Starfield for the 7800xt. Still a decent chunk less taking inflation into consideration. I think 5 years is too much as it is a cheaper product, but if it lasts 3 years as a...

    Any news on 7800 xt?

Thanks, I see, do they have ETAs? I would really like to get one before the end of the month to benefit from the Starfield offer, let's hope they come in stock before then.

    Any news on 7800 xt?

Nowhere in the UK at those pre-order prices, at least reputable stores.

    Any news on 7800 xt?

I can't see the 7800 XT at RRP anywhere in the UK unless I do not know how to look, which is entirely possible.

Indeed, I was waiting for RRP pricing, but now it has gone the other way. I will give it another few weeks.

In a few mins you will have a chance to grab a 6800 or 3060Ti

could have bought an 6800 at AMD prices but passed on it, silly now in hindsight!

Cyberpunk 2077 - What you need to run it

It will have to run well on RDNA 2 as the majority of copies will be sold for the consoles. I think AMD have an inherent advantage over Nvidia for multi platform games with RDNA2 as it is being used by both the Xbix Series X and the PS5.

The thread which sometimes talks about RDNA2

Hopefully numbers of cards released should go up shortly. I had the opportunity to get a 6800 yesterday but passed on it, as my 1080ti is still pretty good for my current use. I think the issue with the 3080 is that the cards are not available a month after launch. If this is still the case for...

    AMD Zen3 event thread

No one is putting a gun in anyone's head and asking you to buy anything. The market, that is us, will determine if the price AMD has set is correct, or not. If the performance claims are true, and it is that much faster than its competitors, then I imagine it will sell out. Intel don't have...

    New monitor 1440P

The Dell is slightly better, at least stand and warranty wise but IMO there isn't £80 difference in it.

    New monitor 1440P

erm, yes. https://motherbear.home.blog/2019/12/08/lenovo-legion-y27q-20-review/ They are all pretty much the same. I think Dell is perhaps a tiny bit better in terms of stand and the warranty, panel wise they are all pretty much the same.
