My suggestion at this time would be not to buy a new car - 17K is bad enough, and you have already expressed issues with resale values, check out www.motorpoint.co.uk and buy a 'pre-registered' version. Buying new, on most cars you are going to drop between 10-30% of the value as you walk out...
