Hi, my name is Hayley and I am Xez (Rob's) wife.
I just wanted to let you know he passed away on Friday after putting up an amazing fight against the cancer he was diagnosed with. He was pain free and peaceful.
I am just looking through his tablet and had left this forum page open and signed...
I dont know or really want to know to be honest. So long as im pain free which isnt fully under control yet! Life is is very unfair especially as im only 28 but well cant sit and dwell on these things.
My computers keep waiting for memory but not really slowing me down
Sorry guys, bit late into the game. I'm currently in an end of life hospice so have limited access to my computers at home! Got both of them running at the moment.
I have the 2390T with stock memory, temperatures haven't changed and like you said TDP is 35w so no additional cooling. mine boosts to 3.3 GHz as well if needed.
I had this with my Pro3 it was a month out of warranty but they repaired it for free as it was in as new condition. just wouldn't turn on and doing what you tried the power light on the cord would flash if pressing and holding the buttons. They just sent me a new unit I believe.
Replied Colin :) he will be on Folfox6 treatment then I assume which is what I'm on, mine has spread to lymph nodes and liver.
We didn't do too bad in the end with the sprint, US Navy nearly caught us but then we started pulling ahead and maintained 5th. Team AnandTech must have a lot of GPU's...
If he needs someone to talk to let me know as i have terminal advanced stage 4 bowel cancer that has spread so i may be able to help with what to expect whilst on chemotherapy if thats the route done. All the best.
Doesn't seem to be giving me many CPU tasks! I've added a GPU into my Microserver now to provide some additional power. I've only just kicked off the projects so hopefully my two computers can add something to the mix!
Edit - I have plenty of tasks now! New CPU cooler fitted bit of a difference...
I remember playing on my dads computer back in the mid 90's him over clocking it from 33mhz to 66mhz with switches on the board and loading Screamer (racing game) in DOS. when I really started to get into it we went to a computer fair and bought an AMD 2600 XP Barton which was amazing at the...
You need a new hard drive, same make, model and size as soon as possible so the problem drive can be replaced and the raid can rebuild. without it you risk loosing everything if the other healthy drive goes. leaving the bad drive won't do any harm at the moment.
Well and truely been taken overnight! If i could afford the electricity bill i would have quite a few old Dell R630's to utilise all with 64 CPU's from work!
Ordered a CPU cooler for my main computer as my core temps on the stock cooler are hitting 100c! Also a cheap GPU for my microserver for if we get a sprint that can use a GPU. Should also help with my Plax playback.
We won't be staying innthe position we are in at the moment for long :(
I have this but it's still dual core just with HT. I can't say I've noticed a massive improvement but I only use mine for Plex and some folding. Doesn't go above 70C on full load.
