well folks, i had a similar issue with the cant accces boot.ini but i found the solution online. I had to install the drivers via my computer>hardware then installing the drivers manualy. All cool and quiet since then.

Well my Dual +4400 is in heaven when rendering 3D images. Dual cores have been a blessing for mayor movie studios and or animations. Then again King Kong was finished only thanks to the Intel's 2.8GHz xeon's super render farm !!! (about 1200 CPU's). That's a big electric bill.
