The image actually freezes for you with laggy servers? I get the old rubberband effect, but not a frozen image.

I have had drops in fps, but not an out right still image - so that doesn't sound normal to me. FYI in regards to settings I found in dx11 about: 10fps decrease for high shadows, 10 fps decrease for HBAO.

Yeah its true, but its all relative to the current software. Its is really only an issue in my HTPC where a 2 slot gpu blocks the PCI slot on my mATX mobo. I'd like to use that slot for a wireless NIC.... but I think I'll have to get one for the PCI-E slot instead.

tried dx11 with shadows set to medium, and it seems better than dx10 with shadows set to high. It seems like the fps is more stable with dx11, medium shadows, whereas they are more variable with dx10, high shadows. Visually, they appear the same to me. Also I tried with v-sync on... and...
