Is the extra graphics benefits of the 6400 not going to be a benefit or does it not matter for playback? Will be streamed to 55" + tv.
The board has the A88 chipset so does seem like a good buy for the money.
I was also looking at the 5400. The 6400 has a better graphics card. I don't know if this will make any difference for media though?
Looks like you can use vpn on openelec. Will maybe give that a go. Windows will give me more options etc so can revert to that if get any issues.
Putting together a HTPC. Will just be for media / internet streaming rather than any gaming etc. Planning on running XBMC with windows underneath for drivers and vpn (back to UK for iplayer) etc.
Currently looking at AMD setup given the price. Case will take mATX boards and have found a...
I have two routers on different subnets and am trying to configure file sharing over them. I know many people will say just put them on the same subnet but that isn't an option as want to have certain internet scheduling for the kids allowed on router 2 subnet.
Router 1 connects to the...
Been a while since looked into this and just wanted to know if anythings changed as regards what providers are good and who to avoid?
Can get virgin cable in my area and these have always seemed good for downloads. Is it worth looking at adsl providers though? O2 seemed quite good on spec and...
Have just deleted all email accounts and pst files and then re-set up all emails but only to download headers. This has reduced pst file size massively.
Only problem is in 3 months time I will have read and downloaded all the messages between now and then and so pst file size will be larger...
I use Outlook and it currently syncs with all my email accounts. This leads to huge pst files. Is there anyway to set it so it only downloads messages for the past 3 months say and clears out old ones after 3 months?
Hard one to choose between as generally a 6400c4 set will run at 8500c5 and vice versa. Looking at the ocz blade sticks and is it worth just getting the 6400c4 ones or are the low voltage 8500c5 considerably better? Is there much advantages of the low volts as 2.1v isnt high anyway?
Looking at this and it doesnt look like its worth upgrading to newer chipsets:

Only advantage I can see is newer sata controllers etc, and easier to get higher fsb.
I have an asus p5wdg2 ws pro board (the one that can do...
Sorted it now. Weird one though. Instead of following microsoft guide of installing outlook connector just add your hotmail account the same way as a normal account and select http and it all comes up. No special security etc and dont install outlook connector and it all works.
Thanks for all the replies.
I did use the dialogue box after installing outlook connector but although its added my hotmail account it doesnt work or give any error messages.
You dont need a paid hotmail account for it to work and it is a windows live hotmail account.
Trying to get hotmail (windows live) setup with outlook. Have installed outlook connector and typed in the email address, password and username but it won't send or receive - doesn't even give error messages, just nothing arrives in inbox and although it appears to send from outlook no message...
