    Mortgage Rate Rises

Well i bit the bullet, took a 10 year fix at 4%, was on the BMR which was 3.75, so will only cost me £8 extra a month. Seemed like it would only take one rise and i am ahead, and figure that 4-5 will become the new normal when it all settles back down so even if it goes down to 3 i will still...

    Mortgage Rate Rises

Trying to figure out if a 10 year fix at 4.09% is a good deal. Interest rates are going to rise in the short term, but are they likely to come down as quickly.

Anyone having problems with kids starting high school?

I'd also try to make school a positive experience, she has to go, by making it moe about hanging out with friends. Try to organise as many play dates and get togethers as possible. Do they chat on the phone/tiktok etc

Anyone having problems with kids starting high school?

We have been having the very same issue with our 9 year old. If the problem is caused at school then you need to get them involved early. Talk to her form tutor and if they have any kind of pastoral care. Our daughter has friends, is doing fine in class, but still we have days, like Monday...

    Afghanistan - 20 years on

It reminds me of the end of Green Zone where they disbanded the Iraqi army and the character thats based on Paul Bremer the head of the coalition Government. His character "Poundstone rejoins the meeting, only to see Iraqi factional leaders reject Zubaidi, the US's choice as leader of Iraq, as...

    Afghanistan - 20 years on

I wouldn't be surprised if the Taliban ended up splitting. The "moderates" that want to become legit and the old guard that wants to take it backward. Then they will start the infighting.

If the bride and groom are more concerned about an evening guest's outfit then their marriage is doomed.

Jeff Bezos offers NASA $2.1bn to be reconsidered for a contract - Is this a bribe?

Has Blue Origin gotten into orbit yet? SpaceX has a crew module taxit to the ISS, proven launchers putting commercial stuff in space. I can't see why they would go for Bezos over Musk

Is general browsing now just a messy pile of ****?

Its always annoying when you are searching for a solution to a problem, google finds a possible match, you read the preview and think "Yep that exactly what my problem is" and then when you actually read the post you realise at the end that its your post from a couple of years ago.
