    EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

Mine died on day 2 so EVGA handled shipping costs both ways to Germany. Also there aren't customs fees when EVGA do the paperwork correctly and define it as 'warranty' rather than anything else and the customs agents read the paperwork correctly.

    EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

The reasons to buy an AIB rather than vanilla card is the same as it's always been. Better cooling, quieter, higher clocks,, better thermals, better design aesthetic (if that's your bag), bigger choice, better warranty, diverse range of OC tools, etc etc etc. Sure the 30 series stock cooler was...

    EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

Agreed. So adding that tiny bit of margin to Nvidia (by Nvidia taking over AIBs market) barely adds to Nvidia's bottom line, for a lot more effort.

    EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

If AIBs margin is wafer thin but it expands the reach to the market then why would NVidia go to the trouble. Their margin is good at the mo. They'll then have to handle warranty replacements, after sales etc in all those markets as well once past the reseller obligation period. It makes no...

    EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

Count me as disappointed. I'm on my third EVGA card, a 3070ti that I got from their queue. It died on day 2 and they did a decent job of replacing it. As for Nvidia going for vertical integration and aping Apple - Jensen is on crack. He may be able to make the cards himself but he forgets...

    anyone with a LG 27GN88A-B 1440z 144hz

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I thought the 27GN88A-B was the 27GN850 but with a different stand, and the 27GN83A-B was the 27GL850 with a different stand (basically both last years models), whereas the GN88 and the GN850 were both 2020 models?

ROG Hero X/8700K/DDR-4000 RAM won't XMP boot

Just an update. I updated the BIOS (version on the Asus website says 0505 and 'first release version') Actually that isn't the first version as it ships with a much earlier version. It now boots and runs at 3600. 4000 still out of reach tho. However, the 3600 boot is automatically at CL15 :o...

ROG Hero X/8700K/DDR-4000 RAM won't XMP boot

Hi there! Memory is CMK32GX4M2F4000C19 (Corsair Vengeance LPX 4000 C19, 2x16GB). Seems that it's too new to be on the Corsair website So, after Gibbo sorted out my missing-in-the-post 8700K, I've now built my machine (replacing an old 4790K) and I'm trying to get it setup. Firstly, with BIOS...

    Intel to launch 6 core Coffee Lake-S CPUs & Z370 chipset 5 October 2017

Gibbo chimmed in a few days ago that his latest batch cost him £295 per chip. Add in VAT and at £360 they're only making around £5 per chip. Add in the cost of members free shipping and where's your profit gone?

    Attn Gibbo

BTW, @Gibbo, are you able to PM/email or text the tracking info for this replacement order? The order itself isn't showing in 'my orders' in my account (only the original order is). That way I can see when it's coming :) Thanks again!

    Attn Gibbo

Thank you SO MUCH Gibbo! FWIW The 'lost' one has been found and is on it's way back to you (DPD return to sender, which was unable to be cancelled despite it landing at my local depot)

    Intel to launch 6 core Coffee Lake-S CPUs & Z370 chipset 5 October 2017

Thanks all for the concern. Dunno what went wrong with the delivery. The CS chap spoke to DPD and it had gone to the wrong DPD distribution centre, got re-routed, then never got scanned in at the correct centre. Seems to have just vanished into the ether. NVM. Gibbo has been great at sorting out...

Thank you so much. You are awesome! (And the guy at DPD now rocking my old 8700K is less so ;):()

    Attn Gibbo

And I should've said - I appreciate the position your CS phone guy was in and he was friendly and helpful and did what he could. Just as you say, he couldn't override the system as it is.

    Attn Gibbo

Hi @Gibbo Thanks so much for replying. Yes the other package has been recalled from DPD and a new order put in. New order number 5189527 and I'm Simon Dean. Thanks again Simon

    Attn Gibbo

Already done that. The CS guy was hamstrung by 'procedure'. :( Hoping Gibbo can sort them out. :)
