Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

Thanks for all the input, I'll give them a wide berth having read the reviews. Not sure I'll even get a separate router then as the ISP supplied ones have sufficed till now. Won't need to share the connection so 1g ports are fine for my current purposes.

Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

The connection is all coming through the same cables right? I had already clocked the free trials of things you need to cancel and as mentioned I got surprised by the fact there's an extra monthly charge for a router. I'll take a look at the reviews.

Full Fibre Router Recommendation 2.5g vs 1g ports

I'm looking at switching my 900 full fibre from Cuckoo over to Onestream as it's £20 a month cheaper. However during the sign up process it turns out the prices Onestream advertise don't include a router, it's a monthly extra charge of £5/6. So figured I can just put that money towards...

    ASUS Rate My Gear Promotion

Just tried to submit my review and the site says "The prize you chose has all been claimed. Thanks for your interest." Anyone submitted one recently?

Logitech G to Collaborate with Herman Miller

Which colour did you go for? I'm considering the galaxy to make a change from black. Not seen that many pictures of the lighter versions though.

I believe they sometimes appear on the auction site outlet. I've never seen one come up though.

So there's 25% off these right now which ends just before Black Friday so I suspect they might have a week where it's 25% + 5% BF discount code. From those who have them how bad is the noise from them?

    BIOS Flashback

I'm going to build my new machine tonight and put the latest Asus bios on a USB stick. No idea what bios it shipped with, but I it will also depend on how long that stock has been sitting on a shelf in a shop or warehouse.

USB Type-C header to USB 2 header adapter

Oh you've got things that plug directly into the headers, thought you meant you had 3x USB A devices to plug in. Surprised the Wifi card needs to be plugged into the USB header. Perhaps that's optional as I'd have thought the connection via the PCIE slot would suffice?

USB Type-C header to USB 2 header adapter

Don't USB headers normally have 2 ports per header?

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

All the parts have arrived but I'm busy tonight. Probably not going to be able to build until Wednesday evening, or on Thursday as I'm off work. Can confirm that the G.Skill 64GB is A-die. (The A at the end of the Code number, or M if it's M-die). Fresh off the assembly line given it was...

    Upgrading OS Drive

Thanks Mcnumpty! I'll check out macrium Would I also need to change the boot drive in the bios?

    Upgrading OS Drive

I've got the parts coming for a system upgrade next week including a 4TB M.2 drive (Fury Renegade) as I jumped on a deal for it. I want this to be my media drive for video editing. I'm planning on getting a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB for the OS and programs, but I'm waiting till Black Friday as I'm...

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

Useful tidbits, thank you. What app(s) are you using for your intensive tests?

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

Fair enough :) I tend to keep kit for up to 5 years. Might just have a play around if I find the time anyway to see what I can push it to.

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

1.6v seems rather high, wasn't there a problem with voltages on AM5?

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

Thanks, I'll do some further reading. Found good deals on the remaining parts today that I don't think Black Friday will beat so looks like the build might happen next week. I've ordered 64GB G.Skill F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30-40-40-96

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

Thanks Jamin, that's exactly the sort of info that I was after. Build might not get completed until after Black Friday / Cyber Monday. I'll try and report back with what I buy and the results of any tweaking I do.

    Manual Tuning vs XMP/EXPO

How likely is it you can get more speed and or CAS timing improvements manually tuning compared tho the overclock profiles on a RAM set? Looking at buying some 6000 MT/s CL30 memory for my new AM5 build and wondering how likely it is I could push the speed or latency beyond those numbers?
