what a coincidence, same things happened to me yesterday, damn annoying i tell you.... I caused it by using tune up utilities i think, it cleared history, temp files and cookies etc. But after an hour or 2 of fiddling and system restoring still no luck but all of a sudden it just fixed it...

I just bought this camera brand new recently, im new to dslr so i dont know theres a prob with the camera. When taking a shots i get a real nasty loud high pitched noise. Its noticed more while the shutter is open, eg for slow shutter speed shots like for 10 secs, i would get this noise...

The problem is i just bought a powercolor x800gto about 2 weeks ago :( AND omg, i just checked out the this week only page, its has even further reductions to its price....bloody down to only 60 quid now. I cant believe that!! arrrggghhhh lol...I knew i should have waited.

As the title... I've the powercolor x800gto 128mb version running at stock speeds with sempron64 2800 (@2.2ghz) and 1 gb ram. highest 3dmark05 score i managed so far is 3327 Does this seem a bit low?

anyone else having luck with these? Is it most likely then the current stock is R480? I want one now :D

ok good...thats why they are called sempron64! dunno what james was talkin about. I had a long long think about which upgrade to go for , s754 or s939. With a low budget in mind, I saw no point going for S939. upgrading to a 939 machine is almost as dead technology as S754, with the socket...

james, what do you mean by they dont have 64bit instructions??? :confused: I just upgraded my rig recently to one of these chips cos i wanted to be ready for 64 bit. I went from a XP2000 at stock, the jump ain't massive i must say, but im still happy.

I havent seen much discussion on these monitors, whats everyones view on it? I only remember seeing a x-black screen displayed in a shop and was amazed at the clarity and quality of the picture. How are they for gaming and movies though? any comments pls, cheers...

I've Oced my system slighty. Its a sempron64 2800, im using a asrock mobo and i couldnt see any HTT multiplier in the bios. Is there any other name for it? as my fsb is now at 275mhz, i dont know what value the HTT multipler is but if its still left at default, surely is well over 1000mhz now?

oh i see, didn't realise the memory was different. I might as well go for x800gto if i get 256mb...?

I'm aiming to get a x800gt but cannot decide to go with 128mb or 256mb. I'm on a tight budget so will the extra memory justify the extra £30?? It will be for games like Far cry, BF2, CCS and some newers games like F.E.A.R. I play resolution 1024 x 75.
