I doubt it's the board more like the ram...have you tried slacker memory timings.
The memory i use are G-skill Trident [email protected] and they overclock.:p
I won't take credit for that as not mine taken from XS...but it is a very good clock...well a little over 4ghz is very possible as long as you got a good cooler....i have a cheapy cooler...good but would not recommend for anything over 4ghz.
Those peep's from tom's hardware need to learn how to oclock lol:D
Nah as far as i know the problem with the asrock board overvolt protection was fixed by a bios update.:p
The above pic deserved to be bigger than mine lol:o
Here's 1 i made earlier...but i'm not so crazy with the volt's...
I had 1 for a few days clocked very well...but got unlucky and encountered a problem which could have occurred from the amount of pressure needed to seat the ram and the faffing about with it
Problem being only able to boot with 1 stick then add the other...after a cmos reset rapid beeps had...
Guess i should add this is on board in sig as Gigabyte got returned due to duff mem slot!
The mem needed a lot of pressure to seat it which could have contributed to
the slot going bad and would not boot with 2 sticks first off....where the asrock memory slotted
in very easy and booted both...
