    AGP X1950 Pro 512 faster than 7800GS+ 512 ??

Can anyone tell me if the X1950 Pro 512 is faster than the 7800GS+ 512. Are there any comparison fps tests anywhere ? Looking to get one of these, but only if I can expect a decent increase in fps over the 7800GS+ 512

Any truth to rumours of an AGP nvidia 8 series card ?

I have seen rumours in the PC mags of an nvidia 8800 card for the AGP socket. Anyone have any more info on this ?

Anyone have a comment on the Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800 GS+ (AGP)?

I've had the 7800GS+ for about 3 months now and have to say it is a superb upgrade if you want to keep your AGP based system. I am mainly an RTS and sim player, but also have the RPG Oblivion and played some FPS's. Oblivion runs with max graphical settings, 4xAA and 4xAF at stock vid card...

    DSL Not Working.

Also, if you have a spare filter, try that on the phone socket. I had one of those go faulty on me a while back and the adsl signal could not get through.

    Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800 GS+ SILENT 512MB GDDR3 (AGP)

Rayb74 - I have this card and Oblivion. My system is AMD 64 3700+, MSI K8N Neo2 Plat, 2 Gigs twinned Corsair XMS RAM, Gainward 7800GS+ 512mb (stock settings not OC), Audigy 2ZS sound. I am getting 20-30fps outside and 40-50 in buildings/caves etc. All in-game graphics settings are maxed. 2XQ...

Which Component Are You Currently Unhappy With?

My case is bugging me at the moment. Its not a beige box, but pretty damn ugly in my eyes these days. I cannot even remember the name of the maker now, but its made from a ton of steel and it has a habit of cutting me to shreds when I am wrestling with opening new backplates or sliding drives in...

    Here's an odd problem! mouse/psu

Appears to be solved now after a google trawl. In the IE menu I went to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and unchecked 'Use smooth scrolling'. The squeal from the psu has gone now :) No idea why that should suddenly have become a problem though as the mouse (Intellimouse Explorer wired optical)...

In Praise of Crucials RMA Service

Over the last two weeks I have had to return two OCUK 6800 GS AGP cards which were faulty out of the box. Both RMA's were dealt with very quickly and efficiently and the last one was a refund too which they managed to turn round in 5 days. I would have to agree that the service is very good.If...

    Here's an odd problem! mouse/psu

Noise from psu when scrolling in IE6 with mousewheel I just upgraded my cpu (3200+ to 3700+) and put in a new Gainward 7800GS+ AGP to replace my failed 6600GT. Install of both went fine but then I noticed that scrolling scroll bars in Internet Explorer 6 using the scroll wheel on the mouse...

OCUK Point of View 6800 GS AGP

Meatloaf - Yes I tried it in my spare machine and I get the same artefacts on boot and the desktop. The graphics card is faulty and has been RMA'd back today for a refund. I will look at a 7800 GS next as a browse of the net with google shows that there are many problems with the 6800 GS...

OCUK Point of View 6800 GS AGP

Anyone else having trouble with these cards? I have just received two that were faulty on arrival in the space of a week. The symptoms are artefacts on the boot screens and desktop with corrupted icons and the monitor either flashes on and off or just goes blank with the "No Signal" message. I...

    Totally weird problems - help!!

Well, I stuck an old 5700 ultra in and it WORKS  Whole system boots up fine and all systems are Go. So it turns out my original graphics 6600GT card was a dud as suspected, no idea why it suddenly failed though. My new 6800GS must also be a complete dud, either dead on arrival, or died...

    Totally weird problems - help!!

Couldn't find anything quite like the problem on Google so in desperation I took the PC to the local repair guy in town. The result five hours later is that I am £39 worse off and they could not fix the problem, which kind of confirms my less than trusting attitute to our glorious local PC...

    Totally weird problems - help!!

Yup tried memtest and that came out OK after an overnight run. All components seated properly. Only thing in terms of drivers that I had installed was the latest nvidia graphics drivers, but they were stable for at least a week before the problem occured so it is not as though they caused an...

    Totally weird problems - help!!

Hi Guys Thanks for the continued suggestions. I still have problems. To answer your questions: Yes I did have the 6600GT connected to a molex with the Enermax PSU. It was on its own connector as the other molex cable connected the optical drives and floppy. Since your last replies though...
