could it be a faulty memory controller? i tried setting fsb at 360, so it wont be a cpu hitting the wall problem, ram ratio to 1:1.25 such that the ram runs at DDR 900, and set memory voltage to 2.2 as recommended by Crucial for speed at DDR1000.

yeap, running it at recommended voltages, 1.8v for DDR800, 2.2v for DDR1000, so i guess at DDR900, 2.2v will be fine? using 2x1gb only what u mean by unlink it from FSB?
