the only time I have ever got that BSOD has been dodgy ram I recomend getting memtest86 on the case - there should be no failures at all if there are any you got bad ram
where as a 19" LCD isn't overkill? lol
The speakers I have heard built into monitors would be ok for a little girls game, I wouldn't wanna listen my music on them though
A few years ago I loved debian, then I discovered slackware and now regardless of what I try I always end up back on slackware, then soon after doing Linux From Scratch using slack as the host
A good laugh lol especially this bit LMAO
"And guess what software Osama Bin Laden uses on his laptop?
If you guessed it was Linux you would be 100% right. Osama uses Linux because he knows designed to counterfit DVDs, curcumventing the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, and defraud...
I put a quid on dott @ 10/1 and my brother laughed at me (this was at the first session when he was playing ronnie) From the looks of things I'll be laughing at him this time tomorrow
Slapt-get is a system killer, when I'm not messing with the likes of LFS or gentoo slackware is my distro of choice, and slapt-get does have a tendancy to bring your system to its knees
<edit>if you use packages from the linuxpackages.net servers that is
it will come with some, but it wont be arctic silver, the difference is only a degree or two though and if you aint overclocking it isn't really worth laying out the extra cash.
I'd go for a no on that one mate looks pretty terminal to me.
If it has REALLY important data on it and you have the cash you could probably have someone retrive the data but the drive is almost certainly dead in my opinion
Hard drives get hot enough to burn you? christ, I have never felt an hard drive that has been anything more that a bit warm to the touch!!! I agree sounds like you have a dead spot, see if you can fit a little fan in near the HD somewhere, get a bit of airflow on it
Indeed I just got it free with pcgamer so stuck it on and its a blast for half an hour but I see where ** at with the track some of em are like "what you can actually get a full lap in 6 minutes?"
cant see it being your power supply unless you have a load of hard drives or cd drives, try updating to the latest drivers for your mobo, sound card, and of course graphics card
roughtly 99.9% of people in the world cant hear the differnce between an mp3 @ 128 and a cd, unless you are one of the 0.1% go for 128 and you'll fit more on your player
that doesn't require taking the mobo out cos it would be far too much hassle (I have to take out pretty much everything but the cd drives to get the mobo out)
What do you recommend?
Damo
its one stick of samsung original rated at 3-3-3-8 and a stick of kingston value ram rated at 2.5-3-3-7 both run flawlessly @ 2.5-3-3-5 240 mhz will pass overnight memtest
I do have to say though, I am waiting for next door to complain about the noise all my fans make lol there is less air...
