As the title says, PC without monitor for £600. This PC will be mainly for Web and Photoshop. Not games. Looking for around 2gb mem + a Core 2 chip but will look a AMD as well. Needs Ports at the front for memory cards as well. Any sugestions would be welcome. Thanks

Check for a peice of spy-ware called About:Blank. I think Adware-Away removes it.

What is the full error that you are getting?

I can recomend the Asus P4P800 and the P4P800-X /SE models. Its also good if you push it too far, the Bios will revert back to the default settings if it fails to POST.

You should be able to get it a lot further, i've had my 2.6 C (800FSB) runing at 3.38Ghz. on air.

Try this Ive had this before, nasty little thing actually. -Try Adaware-Away, this removes most of the variants. -The way i had to remove was through the registry, i changed everything from About:Blank to Google and this worked.

-Best to find out what motherboard is in there. Is it a OEM machine, if so get the name and model number and search the wobbly web. -Depending on what version of OS it is, theres DXDIAG, System Info. Or 3rd party apps such as CPU-Z.

-If you are getting Smart errors, its indicating that the HDD is failing. -Trying runing some HDD tools from the drive manufacture to verify this. -Also run chkdsk /r it could be a croupt file system.

Hi, Can anyone advised me on a good Xvid/Divx to Mpeg2/4 program. Ive been using Nero6/7 and have been experiencing problems with either the sound being out of sync or it just stopps during the encoding process with no errors at all. Thanks
