Mine runs significantly faster, quieter and cooler than my old x1900xtx at 1600x1200. I'm glad that I made the upgrade.

X1950pro will be 80nm. It is a different core from the 90nm R580 used in the X1950XTX. Apart from integrated crossfire, slightly higher clocks and probably running a bit cooler, I can't really see any point in waiting for the X1950pro though. Maybe it will be a bit cheaper?

Nope, it's not dead. It didn't seem any different to the other XT bios. I've just gone back to my original XL bios now, sitting at 650/650. I just decided to see if it worked, that's all!

That's the 2D speed of the card - I have an XTX as well and it reports the 2D speed of the card as 500/600 and 3D speed as 650/775. If you ramp up those sliders in overdrive it will run at those speeds in 3D.
