Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) on This Week Only again

Thanks - I had seen these - I was thinking of perhaps a bracket that would let me point a 12cm fan at low rpm at the board to eliminate dead spots???

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) on This Week Only again

Hi Guys, I am running a q6600 B0 at 3.2ghz - with an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro fitted when running prime I was getting temps up to 65c that was the improved temps after I had re-seated with AS. However when switching to the Thermalright Ultra-120A (not extreme) the temps dropped to...

    Suitable NF7 northbridge fan?

The zalman is the way to go - cools as good/better than the existing HS/fan and is silent and can't break - I have switched out the hs/fan on most of my NF7s and an AN7 for the zalman. Shaun

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA for Conroe (Core2) with both AGP/PCI-E and DDR1/DDR2 support

The e6600 has double the cache 4mb and until I get a new board the e6600 will give me better performance on this board. In the new year when I get a new board - the processor will depend on availability / price - those 4 core chips might be £100

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA for Conroe (Core2) with both AGP/PCI-E and DDR1/DDR2 support

What bios version? I should be getting an e6600 in a couple of weeks - I will post my results with this board here. I am going to sell the e6300 and buy a new chip e6600? + better board in the new year (probably) - once everything has settled down re chipsets. Shaun

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA for Conroe (Core2) with both AGP/PCI-E and DDR1/DDR2 support

Darg, As a budget board - this is great - if you want to re-use existing DDR1 and AGP I don't think this can be touched. However your overlock will be limited. The best I could get was 7 x 312 with this board an e6300 and cosair XMS 3200 C2 ram - or about 17% the chip would go much...

    T7600 - Keep or Sell???

Hi guys, Thanks for the ideas, my problem with the AOpen i975Xa-YDG board is its price I would be going that way only because the media box did not work out - and want a cruncher instead. If the Aopen with the T7600 would significantly outperform a e6600 then it would be worth it. But it...

    T7600 - Keep or Sell???

I have a T7600 (had to buy fantastic price but now???) I had originally thought of a media box - mobile processor so low power quite etc. However all of the MBs I have seen for this processor seem to lack the video out I would like e.g. DVI and s-video. e.g. the Gigabyte GA...

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA for Conroe (Core2) with both AGP/PCI-E and DDR1/DDR2 support

Running 24x7 dual boot between WinXP Pro and WinXP Pro 64 bit - 100% stable. The machine has been running Chess matches between different engines this always has 1 core at 100% and depending on the engine both cores. Typically if a machine will run Chess 100% stable it will run anything. Oh I...

In case this effects anyone else. flashing from 1.1 to 1.7 broke my overclock - flashing back to 1.1 everything fine? Running e6300 @ 7 x 312 - memory Corsair XMS 3200 C2 I had to tell the bios that I was using 266 memory ended up with the ram at - 416MHz FSB: DRAM of 4:3 and 2 2 2 6 1T...
