    2.2gig file wont download

Yeah getright limits you to 4 connections per mirror. Anything over 4 different connections to the same file on the same server is a little... well pointless. You are going to get more and more overhead from the tcp/ip connections and probably slow down everyone elses connection by clogging...

CPU manufacturers must be holding back all the time...

45nm is maturing. Intel are constantly tweaking their processes and making improvements. When the change has a big effect (much better voltage performance) it's gonna propogate to all the fab's fast. In addition to this, with Nehalem just around the corner the bottom has fallen out of the high...

surround sound headphones do they work

I have a zalman 5.1 set. Its actually 5... since the sub woofer wire goes nowhere. You get 6 speakers... so its a notch above quadrophonic. Handy in games. Crap for music. Passable for TV. Vista is handy when it comes to these because you can select a 5.1 setup with no subwoofer in the...

GTX280 Hot and oh so loud!

Not sure on the specifics of English law... but if its anything like the laws we have here that we copied from you the warranty is in addition to your legal rights. Products can't be sold faulty unless clearly marked as such and can be expected to work for a "reasonable" ammount of time...

    Asus P5Q-E (P45) Motherboard Review

Got exactly the same issue on my P182 with my P5Q-E. I just assumes i hadn't tighened the screws enough. All the ports are accessible... just, so i've ignored it until now.

    Question for electricians?

It would be entirely possible to rip a switch from an old pc case off, extend its wires to whatever length and use that... as long as the distance wasn't ridiculous.

Best hardware related customer service you've recieved?

Antec Got three free fans with my case because there was a small chance they might be a little bit noisier then they were supposed to be. Sweet. The rest of CS experiences have been pretty dire. About the next best being getting a free spindle of 50 cd's with a replacment 17" CRT which was...

So, anyone had any good underclocking results?

    Sd Cards

Bottom line if its SDHC assume its not compatible unless you know for certain it is. Easy to get burned.

    Why don't they make a 3D film...

Movies are always pre-rendered on the most expensive hardware to hand. If a graphics card comes out that can render movies in realtime, you can be studios will be using 100 of them, in parrallel, with friggen laser beams, to pre-render @ 1 hour per frame just because they can. So you would have...

Gaming @ 1680x1050 gfx card advise

Went from a oc'd x1800xt to a 4850 @1680x1050 with no complaints. If your the kind person who takes as long as i do to upgrade you might wanna consider the 4870 though. When i was buying the price difference was a lot more.

Motherboard PS/2 Ports - Ok to plug Keyboard into Mouse Port?

From memory, the only difference "in theory" is with the numpad and scroll lock keys on a keyboard. A mouse should work in either port, a keyboard may only work in a keyboard port. Course, it's so cheap to make a PS/2 port these days I would assume both are the same and hooked up as the same...

    What's the secret?

No trouble with my Q9450 on a P45 (Asus P5Q-E). Hits 3.6ghz without a sweat. Given taht you know you can hit 3.5ghz with another mobo then the culprit is the new mobo. I've heard DFI's are very finicky with their voltages and extra options. And you may have gotten a lemon. Can't give you any...

What would you upgrade in this system?

Breaking it down, really, i cant see anything lacking in that system other then the graphics card. A 4850 would be a massive bump up and they are at a very nice price atm. Other then that... maybe go quad if you need it, maybe change the mobo if your thinking of crossfire ( on a 24" monitor...

    Q9450 4GHz possible?

I pushed my Q9450 to 4.1ghz on my P5Q with some very unhealthy volts. Didnt prime95 it overnight because I don't want those speeds and didnt want to kill it (would have to return to US) I'll be seeing how far i can take mine at low volts this weekend and from what i've seen stability wise so...

What mouse for long hours using CS3?

Just as an aside, switching hands from right to left when mousing helps a lot too. Takes getting used to and slows you down but well worth it.
