I have been running the same Dell 28" monitor for about 4 years with no issues however recently there is what seems to be a water mark which has appeared on the inside (https://imgur.com/CCri94P).
I have tryed cleaning the screen to remove it so it defiantly no on the surface of the monitor...
Ok I have now tried the graphics card in another system and it has the same problem. I assume that its defiantly the graphics card. Is there anything that could be done bar a replacement card?
Thanks for the help. As noted previously however I have not got on board graphics.
I have just installed an old graphics card and the system is booting fine. The resolution is native to the monitor and had been running fine previously for 3 years. In the interim I tried to install a fresh...
1. I will try a HDMI cable tonight. At the time they were all being used by others watching the TV.
2. I dont have a spare PSU with enough power for the system and by current PSU only has 2 PCI connectors both of which are required by the card. Is it possible to test this with a multi-meter...
1. No the cursor does not show. The windows boot sequence does not complete either as I dont hear the start sound and the lighting for the mouse does not change meaning the control software has not loaded.
2. I have tested 2 display ports and 1 DVI all of which have the same result. I have not...
Currently have an issue on the machine and want some advise on the next diagnostic steps. The machine shows an image on the monitor up until the point where the window logo stops flashing and the screen would normally go blue and window starts 9windows 7 64bit). The machine will boot into safe...
There seems to be very little information out there about the availability of these, I am after the Ryos MK pro with cherry MX blue keys but nobody in the UK even seems to be selling them, let alone have any idea of an eta. I contacted Roccat and they just said "we make lots of keyboards, and...
Ok, just tried all three slots and it seems to be that all the sticks work but the middle slot on the motherboard doesn't, when I try and boot I get nothing, just a black screen, no beeps or anything...
I just tested all 3 sticks in the same slot and windows booted every time with no error messages... The CPU cooler is bolts from behind the motherboard but I can't think that it would be too tight given how its attached. Do you think one of the MOBO slots could be faulty? I assume I can boot...
Yes BIOS is only showing total RAM size as 6GB. Haven't taken the CPU out since original installation, nor have I taken the heat ink off it (although it is a huge heat sink so its not impossible for it to be interfering somehow).
Is there anything I can do?
I don't now if this has any baring... But on memtest86 it only seems to test 4gb.. Bt I have 6gb of RAM. As it says "recovering lost DRAM size" on boot up, could it be that one of the stocks isn't being recognised properly?
Yeah it's saying that the PC has suffered from boot failures due to voltage changes/over locking so I'm guessing for whatever reason those changes are stopping it booting.
