This outlook makes a hell of a lot of sense, a longer term thinking from Nvidia - given the negative press from the previous 4080 launch and its large gap in price to the cards below it.
I think the fact my 3080FE cost was the RRP is something I forget because a a lot of people didn't they...
I've literally just moved to this monitor at Christmas so I'm unlikely to change mine for a number of years, my gut feeling is that for me waiting for the 5xxx wouldn't make a great deal of difference. As well as likely id have spent the money on something else by then :D.
I had this exact same problem with the same keyboard, if you email them and send over photos/video to support your issue they will cover it under warranty if you are still within the time frame.
Giving serious thought to replacing my 3080FE with a 4080 Super FE, given I'm unlikely to upgrade the GPU for maybe 3 years it looks like its a sizeable jump in performance if not in value.

Edit: Gave it another shot using a different black ground cable because I wasn't convinced I could...
After having the whole house electrics trip out I have reset the breaker and everything seems fine except it seems my pc will not power up, it was on at the time when the electric tripped. But I was not using it at the time it was just idling, everything else in the house seems to be working...
