I just did a load of work with a fairly basic Bronica setup, a load of Rollei PAN25 (slightly hard film to find, it is stocked in the UK though) & some heavyweight 16*12 matt FB paper...
God damn the results are gorgeous.
Since doing that, I'm finding it very hard to shoot digital for a few...
Pretty good photography forums . And there are lots more knocking about.
I suggest people wake up, and if you want somewhere half decent to, well, talk photography, shove off.
If you really have no idea of what sort of exposure to use (which you won't at first) then an easy way to work is shooting at the highest ISO and widest aperture available.
Then use cunning maths to transpose your decided exposure to a lower ISO and stopped down aperture.
PUT SOME CLOTHES ON JOHNNY
Lots of good advice there though sir. IR aint for everyone, but it can become very addictive - I'm having lots of fun with my recently modded D70 :D
Doing it the "real" way produces better results - you get highlight halos et cetera. Some cameras will merge the shots in-camera. If not it's easy enough to do it afterwards in PS.
It's nice for flower macros & other luvvy duvvy dreamy scenes ahem ;s - but I've seen it used best taken...
I've had the same set of lenses for a while now.
There are big gaps between the focal lengths of my lenses.
They're all OK quality - not great.
Wider, longer, faster, better built lenses would be nice.
But I just use these lenses, often going out with only one lens and little or no other...
Those aren't IR Raymond :)
Ildord SFX is a bit crap - it only has very limited IR sensitivity.
I use Kodak HIE - it's pretty nice, but not the best. It is the only one I can source easily, though.
Can't tell you where - competitors.
Truth.
The centre AF point is a cross type, the other four are single line.
Read this. While it doesn't relate directly to tracking moving targets, it will help you garner a better general understanding of the autofocus system on your D70.
Sorry, I thought you were blindly telling me all that without any reason.
At first thought, what you say now makes sense - but I'll need to think about it!
I'll get back to you :D
