My 360 has this intermittent disk read error, despite the disks being flawless. The shop I got it from says they'll swap it out for a new one (warranty has 2 months to go). My question is - have the 360s in stores at the moment been fixed for the 3 rings of death problem?

I can't either! Was hoping this would be some reason to switch the shiny black dust collector on for a while, but hasn't persuaded me.

Having just compared the 2 demos, it doesn't. PS3 colours lack depth. Still suffers from the same tearing/glitching the 360 version suffered from too. Then the lack of rumble kills it. Oh well.

You say swap - they will give you a new unit any time within the one year warranty? I thought they were only obliged to do that in the 1st 30 days and otherwise sent away for a repair?
