Hate to sound like the wise guy but wouldn't it have been better to have bought the 100-400L & 100mm 2.8 and stick with the 300D? Or would you say the 5D was well worth it?
You chopped off some proportion of the body. I would have either get the entire bird in or zoom closer to the eyes and get rid of the hand.
The background doesn't contrast with the foreground so the bird doesnt stand out as much as it could
I'm going for 4 days and I'm planning on taking a bare minimum of equipment.
Has anyone else been? I've heard that the architecture is the most outstanding aspect of the place.
Provisionally I'm thinking of taking:
20D + 10-22 EFs (w/polariser) for architecture
70-200F4 or 50mm 1.4...
I'd get the 24-105 F4 IS or the 24-70. You don't gain much reach with the 17-40 and you're overlapping the focal lengths with the 10-22 which is an excellent lens anyway.
Are you sure of this? I think the Hoya branded filters have a much better coating. I tend to be of the opinion that you get what you pay for, I put a standard hoya on my 50mm and it ruined a whole set of pictures due to flare.
The S-HMC filters that I bought for my 10-22 and 70-200 seem to...
I want to see 70mm panning shots next time. no excuses.
my only comment is that I don't know what number 5 is a picture of, doesn't really have a subject or anything which draws my eye.
