    Road Tripping in the USA!

Agree with this - north felt safer but still enjoyed the drive. Going South you have the passenger in the way too ;-)

    Road Tripping in the USA!

We had our trip in August and I was staying in West Hollywood during our LA leg, so collected my Mustang from Budget at Burbank Airport. It was the 3.7 V6 which was rather nice and there was a ~5 minute queue; the place was dead. Then hopped round the corner for UStudios.

    Road Tripping in the USA!

We actually did the exact same miles per day on another guided tour across the west coast of canada and loved it, you start very early and finish late so never really feel like you're in a coach for a long time - each to their own I guess. I suppose we like seeing lots of things in smaller...

What "man jobs" have you done today?

@Stan_Lite Do you find any particular negatives for using PET rather than glass bottles? I've always used bottles, but with bigger and bigger batches PET might be easier..

    The nervous wait to exchange....

The No.1 learning I have from house buying - find out who's on the Title. In our case the house was "Chain Free" because the lady was moving to a relatives. However there was a co-owner on the title who unfortunately died a few years earlier and the title had not been updated. Therefore they had...

Cool I like the window above the stairs makes it look spacious. Out of interest what square metre/footage has been converted to deliver how many rooms? And if it's OK - an estimated cost to get it to that point (e.g. excluding bathroom suits, carpets, etc)

Having a new kitchen installed - is the builder right to charge VAT this way?

Note you can deal with howdens directly yourself and indeed pay - but it just goes on your builder's account. Some builders just try to make some margin on the units. I did this for a kitchen recently - only time my builder delbt with howdens was when they sent a wrong part to my house.

    Sky Multiroom Box?

Ring them up they'll need to add the sky+ features on your second box. They'll be fine with it

Images of items I have purchased.

I've always done this where I can - you can even buy trainers than look close enough to work shoes. Your nice shoes will be scuffed and worn in no time.

Mum's Motability car due for renewal

I wouldn't discount the Focus on the basis you will also be driving the car - it may turn out to be the best car for her?

    New car choice (VW Loan)

I'd agree with you, 185ps in an A1 must be relatively fun.
