Audi Service - some advice please

Will the warranty not cover the issue with the springs? I'm surprised it doesn't if it's the official Audi warranty on a car that's reasonably new.

Isn't this what every car with this feature is like? Never driven one where the driver side mirror does it.

This isn't the same thing at all.

    Electric vehicle depreciation

The other engine versions are still available in other Right Hand Drive markets, so no. To clarify, I am not talking about the date for the ban on the sale of petrol cars, which also exists in Europe. I am specifically talking about the UK requirement for an increasing percentage of vehicle...

    Electric vehicle depreciation

It started this year? So yes. You can already see manufacturers responding - do you want a BMW 4 Series Coupe that isn't an M4 or an M Performance version? You can chose from a range of... 1. A 2 litre 4 cylinder with less than 200bhp. The rest of Europe gets the full range though... New...

    Electric vehicle depreciation

It is completely irrelevant though, as the zero emissions mandate on new car sales will mean even if you want a petrol car, you'll find it very difficult to buy one long before any date for a ban.

Under a dealer warranty, should injectors count as part of the engine?

So what value are they adding for the premium over a private sale to justify charging more than a private sale or trade value? Cars from dealers cost more because they have higher overheads as a result of adding value to the purchase that isn't there if you buy through an auction or a private...

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

I had a diesel with all of that for almost a decade and didn't have a single reliability issue the entire time.

Driving a VW Transporter for short distances - how often before it kills the DPF?

No. It seems fairly obvious that a diesel van isn't a very good every day car for a short commute.

    Who here owns a Mini?

They are not popular on the second hand market so likely don't cost much more if a anything more than a petrol one.

There must be something due in 3k miles then, strange it isn't clear. Brake pads perhaps?

It does give you the option to set the month, the MOT is the only thing you can set yourself. So it does sound like that's all it is. They don't make it very clear do they! Just to confirm it is, do you also have a Vehicle Check service listed and does it show a date or mileage for that one...

    BMW and M Power Owners

Vehicle Inspection is the MOT I think? It should just show a date with no associated mileage. Vehicle Check will show date and remaining mileage. It is unhelpful and confusing that these two very different things have such a similar name in the service screen. When was the car registered...

Do you mean Vehicle Inspection or Vehicle Check? Vehicle Inspection is the MOT. Vehicle Check is a service item which is carried out about every 36k miles or so. How old is the car?

It is manually reset by the dealer when the service is carried out. So, possibly what has happened here is that this wasn't done (But then if this is the answer, why was the service carried out last year if it wasn't due until this year?). Plus, I wonder why it had a brake fluid change in 2023...

Should he have had the car towed home from the airport then? That wouldn't have been cheap either.

    BMW and M Power Owners

When was the car registered? You are supposed to get 3 years of service with a new BMW. To achieve this, the service is activated for 3 years and 3 months from the production date of the car, not the registration date. This means that in theory most people get a bit more than 3 years as it was...
